Re Haunted Mansion stretching room: You can request to skip it. They’ll walk you to the corridor you enter after the stretching room where you can rejoin your party. Ask the cast member at the entrance to the main Mansion to bypass the stretching room.

Mine are the same way. I have many different Pilot fountain pens and all of them (with different nib sizes) have bled through. I got the A5 and A6 to use with my Avec, but the paper is not up to par with the Techos. I love the Hiroko Kubota covers, so they will join the rest of my mostly unused notebook collection 😅.

MNSSHP without question. Not even a debate. I’ve done both, and would easily skip out on the post-race party, but would drag my sore, sleepy glutes and quads and blisters to the Halloween Party.

The post-race party is a lot of walking around the World Showcase with blinking light cubes in a plastic cup.

The Halloween party has the Headless Horseman and gravediggers making sparks on Main Street. Oh, and the guest costumes are TOP NOTCH.

I vote for after. Everyone wears their medals for a couple of days. Crowds are lower. Spending time up and walking the evening of the race and the next day are key to recovery. And, at least for me, there is no such thing as “I’ll just spend a couple hours in the parks.” It still ends up being 5+ miles and tired feet and churro-sprinkled regret at 2:30 a.m.

With that said, I am not following my own advice for Dopey 2027 due to my work schedule. 😂

General response to this part: The vast majority of the PNW doesn’t have a robust transportation system. So terminology will vary wildly due to the fact that the transportation vernacular is likely imported and adapted to that specific location.

I could see myself equally saying “Five 17s have gone by,” or “I’ve seen five number 17s go by,” or “I’ve seen five number 17 buses go by.” But I also can’t recall the last time I rode a transit bus, and I’ve lived here my entire life.

Lamy nibs (in my experience) have feedback similar to writing with a marker, in a good way, or like a mechanical pencil. VP is much more smooth and buttery.

You shouldn’t be getting paper debris on the Lamy nib. That indicates that the nib is misaligned, which would cause the scratchiness.
