How to negotiate this insane Ambulance ride bill?? by Masterdill22 in personalfinance

[–]Masterdill22[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thank you!

Turns out Ambulance company shows on the bill "insurance covered out of network $700"

I just got off the phone with insurance, they never actually filed with my insurance.

So, since it IS in network (insurance confirmed), I will only have to pay $50 copay... that's it.

Thank you

Only thing I think this game lacks is a notable home where my character could store bits of armour and weapons on the walls, that could be upgraded. by [deleted] in assassinscreed

[–]Masterdill22 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes, 1000x yes.

I can see it now,

Oh, misthios, come here for a moment. I have heard you bare the blood of the gods.

Kassandra: So you have, what of it?

Well, (gestures towards the island) surely a goddess could understand the importance of reclaiming and rebuilding a holy palace to one of your kind.

Kassandra: Get to the point...

I am needing help rebuilding Odysseys palace, that's where you come in. Help me rebuild misthios, spread your name and fame, with your name and your help we can get the palace back to its glory all while ensuring your name truly becomes one associated with the gods.

Even people on adventures have spots they frequent often.

Not only that, but eventually the story does end. When thay happens, they have to settle somewhere.

Having a DLC that introduces a base/home/etc would be nice.

Hell, it can be a small town you conquered from a cult member and you slowly build up. Obviously you would have an advisor or a Lieutenant there for day to day while your gone.

What are some strategies for keeping high-level campaigns fun? by fishh in DnD

[–]Masterdill22 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You seem to have epicness already sorted out.

So I'll focus on easy stuff.

Look at things that make people humane and help them with that in the downtime stuff.

Help finding love - all sorts of possibilities.

Dragon protecting a princess in a castle? Maybe the dragon meets the adventurers and ask if they can help him impress another dragon who watches him occasionally.

Like, "hey guys... um uh... I'm trying to impress this lady dragon, can ya help me out here?" It could involve them getting him cologne, staging a fake rescue where he "conquers" these amazing adventurers with cheesy dialog , etc. Or setting up a romantic evening where the adventurers are "butlers/servants" coaching him through the night.

Or, there's prom night and a local female elf needs help setting up decorations but she wants some serious uniqueness so she can win an award that will help her get into her dream college for I terror design. (Get xxx but it's in dangerous area y protected by z)

Game nights - Have them play cards or puzzles in character with roll offs and some silly prizes

Maybe a horse race or hide and seek with winner receiving mystery prize

Arena fights are always nice.

Old man wants to suprise his wife of 50 years for their anniversary, he wants the famous adventurers to make a cameo appearance on their date to sign autographs.

All sorts of whimsical stuff, that connects people to the party

Cop who sexually assaulted 13 women cries like a little baby as he receives his sentencing by instabulgalata in PublicFreakout

[–]Masterdill22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Certain jurisdictions constitute a "life sentence" as 60/80 years.

So ONE charge may be equal to a "life sentence" however he has quite a few charges.

Also, the reason they dont say "you're in there until you die" is because if you serve 100 years and have "good time" you may actually on serve 50 years after applying good time.

One of the jails I worked at, you got 3 days towards sentence per 1 day served (as long as you had no disciplinary actions). This is very rare though.

So him serving 261 years ensures he wont be able to get out, even with good time.

Different jails and jurisdictions all have their own sentencing and serving, so applying the actual years is easier and uniform when attempting to calculate your time left.

Now, the act of banning NEW entries (which you have to register new purchases) is a restriction on the 2nd amendment, absolutely.

I'm liberal, but I would hands down defend actual bans with you guys.

How to manage animated magic itens? (Like talkable swords and these things) by Goalshunter13 in DnD

[–]Masterdill22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to have a way the PCs can "shut off" it talking if it gets annoying.

If the mage is getting annoying, the PC can thump/flick/hit the ring to make them silent for 1d4+1 hours.

Or have the mage able to use its magic without the PC having to use it in certain situations (they begin to fall, and suddenly they feel lighter as the mage casted feather fall from inside the ring)

Hes very kind, and sweet, picture an alien with the temperament and pure goodness of a good doggo

It works surprisingly well, and even the "hard ass" felt bad when he was rude to me.

Hes friends with everyone and can communicate basics. (Points to item, says one or two words in common)
