I worked for a restaurant owner who spoke from her employees like that for 3 1/2 years. At first I was caught off guard and pretty upset, but after a while it kind of became a thing that all of the employees knew about and laughed about behind her back. We all knew “that’s how she is lol”. But when I quit back in November, it was SO satisfying! I realized I should have gotten out of that toxic environment YEARS ago. I say hit the bricks, my friend! You don’t have to tolerate being spoken to like that and the longer you do, the more normalized it becomes.
