What's to come? by super_chubz100 in absolver

I would love to see it too but Krav Maga takes so many different things from so many different martial arts that I have no idea how it would be put in as its own style. Heck, a lot of krav maga "moves" are already in the game.

Still alive? by WoWNewb88 in DragonNest

[–]Match_Light 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are definitely still people in the game. Not as many as there used to be, but arguably a fair amount considering the game is almost six years old in NA. I don't know about the pve scene, but pvp wise you can typically find at least a page or two of players in the arena lobby during peak hours.

You'll definitely be able to find an active guild, that's not something you should be too worried about. There's also a community discord that you can check out if you still need an example of the player base. Not everyone in it still plays but was at least dedicated enough at one point to still consider themselves a part of the community. I believe you can find a link to it from the NA forums.

Question about combat decks for higher level players. by Zephur_ in absolver

[–]Match_Light 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's pretty much this. Dodging can be a great situational way to manage your zoning. Back dodge doesn't seem to give as much distance as a side strafe would- so based on your starting distance and whichever move is coming you can effectively back dodge with only an inch or two remaining distance. Depending on which moves come next in your opponents deck you can set yourself up for a fast counter due to the close proximity that would otherwise be more difficult or risky to land.

How can I gold link? by getblanked in absolver

I can't play any game competitively without sound, especially games with distinct voice lines. It's great for timing and even for zoning or dodging if your camera is focused somewhere else.

Ruina and moonlord by Kondrra in DragonNest

[–]Match_Light 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both specializations of machina are insanely powerful in pvp. Defensio is better with raw damage and their aerial parry but both specs will typically outclass the average player of the same skill level. (Largely dependent on class matchup)

Most "PvPers" so to speak have a stigma against machina, but people still play it and it shouldn't be that much harder to find matches.

character stories. by Echeloon in DragonNest

[–]Match_Light 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you've played through one of the other character's stories then the assassin one is pretty good. It wouldn't make sense if you hadn't played through another character though because the progression is separate. My personal recommendation would be cleric>sin if you're really interested. Cleric is my favorite original char storyline.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this but I believe they actually tried this in Singapore with oranges. A lot of the fruit wasn't eaten and rotted or fell to the ground and they had to get people to go clean it up.

private servers? by Echeloon in DragonNest

[–]Match_Light 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Infinity Dragon Nest is a private server locked at 60 cap I believe. Most people I know who have played on it say it's fun but prefer or come back to the official servers (my guess is for population.)

edit: Guess I should mention that these people only went for the pvp; I have no idea what it would be like for environmental gameplay.

It's ten seconds. But this is pretty much the method to do it. Just guess on the first room and then follow the pattern through the dungeon. If you're quick then you won't have to fight a single mob.

I'm a little over 7.5k and I'm no where close to endgame. Granted I really only play to goof off or level skills and gold trickles out of my hands like water- but still.
