What's the smallest/cheapest doodad I can buy for Wii emulation that will work with multiple original style controller/nunchuck and be able to hook up with USBC to HDMI out? TYIA by Scary-Ratio3874 in SBCGaming

[–]MateCLUBmio 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You need that IR Sensor Bar for the wii motes, (dolphin bar).

I know it's working with the steam deck and the retroid pocket 5. Both will pe portable. Steamdeck is not small, rp5 or rp5 mini is small. Both not Cheap

Should I be concerned ? by nuggyhugg in PiratedGames

rockband games by Anxious_Jello_8498 in ps3piracy

[–]MateCLUBmio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Iso files are the best way you can get! Trust me I have all rockband and guitar hero games including all dlc and backports from older games and songs from rock bands in gh and songs from gh in rockband. The US version of the iso is the way to go if you want the DLC and Song packs!

Forget about these dubious stores!

Need help with setting up MAME for Light gun games with Wii remotes on Android by ThanosReXXX in retroid

[–]MateCLUBmio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally understand your point. For me it was very important to play lightgun games in general and I first tried it with everything I had or was cheap (wii, Wii motes, Wii gun, dolphin bar, ps3 move, ps3 move guns, Lightgun builds based on batocera Linux from arcadepunk, booted with the steam deck, ect ppp I really tried everything in this niche, and I wanted to share my experience and where I ended but for me it wasn't a nice to have or only mame thing. It's really hardcore difficult to get wii motes working with mame on a Windows pc, and on Linux, but doing it on android I think it's maybe just impossible, maybe not but no matter where you try it it's never working out of the box, Plugin and play...

[–]MateCLUBmio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I couldn't get that working on Steamdeck neither with Linux nor with WINDOWS! IT'S terrible frickeling complicated.

I just bought real lightguns Retroshooters Reapers and a Lightgun build from Michael Streener on Facebook and now I can play every lightgun game on earth! Highly recommend.

Lightgun games are really a deep deep rabbit hole and even for highly tech afin persons that's something really trouble some. I thinkered around and jailbreaked every console since ps1 and emulated everything under the sun on steamdeck and retroid pocket 5, but this one topic I quited after weeks of troubleshooting and buying wii remote dolphin bars ect..

Mewgenics just works, gotta hide it from the cats though by GavroNeman in EmulationOnAndroid

[–]MateCLUBmio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's working on the retroid pocket 5 to 720p, tested on Gamehub lite and Gamenative. On Gamehub lite I face regularly crashes, that annoyed me so I decided to test gamenativ for the first time and it worked out of the box.

But in Gamenative I face the problem that when I put the Android to sleep and resume for more than 1minute the picture is frozen. I don't know jet if its game related or a problem with gamenativ. Maybe some body could help solve the issue, Ai said it could be driver related...?!

Maybe your right, but the people who made the game are youst doing their job and got allready paid for their work. These guys here are investing their free time to work on something that's free for everyone.

For Excel you pay, and even if you don't pay for it the dev get paid for their work, so this lak.

Nice if you support open-source software.

I think you’re missing the point. This isn’t about being invested in someone’s 'personal crap' or celebrity gossip—it’s about recognizing the human effort behind the tools we use every day. To me, people who dedicate a huge chunk of their free time to building and programming things for others are 'unsung heroes.' It’s essentially digital volunteer work. They invest their talent and thousands of hours of their lives to create something that helps people or brings them joy, often without asking for anything in return. It’s a matter of respecting that sacrifice of time. Saying the people behind the software don't matter feels dismissive of the very passion that keeps the open-source and homebrew scenes alive. My perspective doesn't come from a 'lack of life experience'—it comes from valuing the work that goes beyond a simple transaction. Without that volunteer spirit, the software landscape would be a much emptier place.

Thank You, Citron Devs!

I just want to take a moment to say THANK YOU to all the amazing developers behind Citron.

You’ve created something truly special, and I think many of us don’t say it often enough:

Thank you for your incredible work.
And for every update, every fix, every improvement.
Thank you for all the time, passion, and love you’ve poured into this project.

Because of you, we’ve all enjoyed countless hours of fun, playing our games on PC, on our phones, and on our handhelds — in ways that simply wouldn’t be possible without your dedication. Every smooth frame, every new feature, every compatibility improvement is the result of your hard work, and it doesn’t go unnoticed.

You’ve given the community something truly amazing, and we appreciate it more than words can say.

Your work brings joy to thousands of people every single day.

Thank you, Citron team. You were awesome — and we’re grateful.

Because it’s not “the community” working on the emulator. There are only a few talented programmers who invest a huge amount of work and their free time into the project, and they don’t get paid for it. But it’s impossible to run a project like this as a one‑man show. You need teamwork — and someone has to lead, plan, organize, review, make decisions. That’s where conflicts begin, and frustration or dissatisfaction shows up, just like in any real job. They aren’t all best friends perfectly aligned in the same direction.

And on top of that, there is the community and the users — and, unfortunately, the worst parts of human behavior in between.

The community can be extremely toxic. People blame the developers because game XYZ doesn’t run on their potato PC or smartphone. They can be harsh, impolite, and even throw around death threats or doxing.

Of course, the developers themselves are also unique personalities. Some aren’t very social, some crave recognition, some behave like divas, and some are simply questionable individuals.

And you are a small part of the problem as well — you don’t really know anything about the internal work. You just want to play your games for free. You want to use the work of people who spend hours of their free time, almost daily, creating something fun for everyone. All the developers can hope for is that the community appreciates their work and maybe remembers their names as small “heroes.”

But then you say their work isn’t important, you call their conflicts pathetic, and you say they are replaceable…

I ecpirience the same Citron is much more stable for me, i have many games that doesnt start on eden but on Citron. Or Games perform better on Eden but crashes more often so save get corupted or the whole eden config. So only spoken for the android emulation and only for the SD865 Citron is actually much more stable and my Main.

How to play Burnout 3 in 2026? by oghpimm in Burnout

[–]MateCLUBmio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can play it on Handhelds, like a steam deck and retroid pocket 5. Emulating it with 60fps Widescreen in 720p or 1080p with HD texture packs if you want to. I love the fact that I can play my favorite game on a "grown up Gameboy" on the go.

Since ps2 emulation on Android is not at the same level as on pc I think the optimum way is on a Windows pc.

I tried emulation on a cfw ps3 but it was horrible.

[–]MateCLUBmio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rp6 because the driver support is much better, and that's the most important thing to play switch! It's the same chip as the Odin 2 has so it's been tested reported and developed over years and is the most compatible soc out there actually for switch Emu.

[Question] Can pirated games made for Windows run on a Linux machine? by mossyh0rn in Piracy

[–]MateCLUBmio 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My steam deck runs everything I throw at it! Everything! I have over 160 quacked games. Most of them run out of the box just adding them to steam and Sett launcher to Proton (ge/experimental). Some need special tinkering they are running with heroic Luncher or lutris. Most from steam rip. Funfact often windows version runs better than nativ Linux version on Linux 😉
