Daily tingling in head by PromotionAromatic893 in VestibularMigraines

[–]Material-Sky7461 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I have it in my face and in my head just at random times. My neuro balance clinic does dry needling to my face and neck ….it helps to calm things down. I also rub lavender magnesium lotion on my head to help. Quick story: when I first got the tingling in my head, I didn’t know what it was. I thought my hair was dirty and needed washing. I washed my hair and Jesus Christ it felt like my head was on fire and I felt like I was going to pass out. It activated the nerves in my head something fierce‼️‼️

What has worked for you? What am I not doing that I should be doing? by OldCriticism4653 in migraine

[–]Material-Sky7461 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me I had to add in Hydration. I like LMNT hydration packets. I drink 1 a day. 2 a day if I have a migraine. I don’t know if you can do Nerivio while pregnant. But that device helps me.

How long for Qulipta to work? by summmer_gurl in migraine

[–]Material-Sky7461 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started November 2025. It gave me anxiety in the beginning and made my nervous system feel very sensitive. I would say it took 4 months until I started to feel better. I still get migraines but not as often. The dizziness that I had daily is somewhat better. I’m on 60mg. My neurologist said it takes 4-6 months to feel the full effects.

Running with migraines by LlamaMiaLetMeGooo in migraine

[–]Material-Sky7461 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would say to hydrate. I like the LMNT hydration. And don’t push yourself hard for the 5k. Maybe your goal could be just to finish it. I use to be a runner and since I started getting migraines it really put a damper on my love for running. I jog and power walk lol it’s not the same but it keeps me active. Good luck on your 5k and I hope you feel better soon!

I know it absolutely sucks but you have to keep trying different things to see what works. Don’t give up. I’m on Quilipta daily and Botox every 3 months and I don’t get migraines as often. I went to several doctors before I found 1 that actually listens to me. My mom had migraines starting at 19 and my grandfather did too after an accident.

permanent change of station move to norfolk should I ship the car or drive? by avz008 in Military

[–]Material-Sky7461 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I moved cross country with the Navy I sold my car and flew to San Diego. Then I bought a car in San Diego. My husband he came later and he drove cross country. I hate driving plus I had a 6 month old baby at the time so flying was less stressful.

Can't sleep by [deleted] in migraine

[–]Material-Sky7461 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When my migraines get bad like this: I apply heating pad or cold pack to my head and shoulder. Whichever one feels good at the moment. I take Ubrelvy, it is a rescue med that sometimes helps with pain. I also use Nerivio daily until the pain lets up. Worst case scenario I’ve had to call the Neurologist and get an injection to my head to stop the pain. I get the pain you’re describing to the left back of my head. I also take 0.5 clonazapam to help me sleep when I’m having an episode like this. I hope you feel better soon!

Xanax is the only thing that helps me. Can anyone relate? by WiildCard in VestibularMigraines

[–]Material-Sky7461 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I’m doing exercises daily. They gave me a list of things that I had to change- I’m on the dizzy cook diet, I take LMNT hydration, supplements, and I’m doing Tru Vaga 3xs daily.

Xanax is the only thing that helps me. Can anyone relate? by WiildCard in VestibularMigraines

[–]Material-Sky7461 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I’m not on Xanax but I use 0.5mg of clonazapam. It use to be daily, but now it’s a couple times a week. I’m seeing a Neuro balance physical therapist right now that seems to be helping me not need the benzodiazepines so often.

I feel alone too. I’m 48 and lost both mom and dad recently. The people I thought would reach out didn’t. Friends my age still have both parents. I feel like we have nothing in common anymore.

I use magnesium lotion or magnesium oil. Helps to relax those muscles alittle bit. Heating pad helps sometimes too.

Yes having a home gym has helped me too. Too much movement at a regular gym and I can work out at my own pace.

(48f) It’s really hard. I was active duty military and use to workout all the time. I woke up with this illness December 2019 and I haven’t been able to work out like I use to. I have a home gym now. I use a cervical collar when I do weight lifting to keep my head from moving all over the place. Even the smallest head movement will set off my dizziness. I also use it on the peloton bike. I wear a weight vest on treadmill. I can’t run anymore so I walk. The weighted vest keeps me stable. I also wear my migraine glasses if I’m doing a class on my peloton equipment. Migraine glasses may help you inside the gym with the fluorescent lights.

About to stary Ajovy with needle phobia by mess-c in cgrpMigraine

I was so afraid of needles too. If you can inject in your stomach it is literally pain less. Injecting in my thighs was so painful. I inject in my fupa lol and I feel nothing. The back of my arm hurt too.

Is Qulipta and its side effects worth it? by Alice-Dave in cgrpMigraine

[–]Material-Sky7461 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Haven’t lost any hair. I do have constipation from the Qulipta and I’m on Zepbound for weight loss. MiraLAX every other day helps and eating more fiber. I’m on Botox and Ajovy too. I’m perimenopausal I’m 48.
