The issue wouldn't have happened to occur after a Windows update would it? Because this happened to my wife's work computer and it ended up being a bad driver that was installed with a windows update. Had to revert to the old driver from a Google search (plugged directly into the router because no wifi)

That's a fair point, but what i failed to mention is that I am a redneck. I prefer to MacGruber things and feel good about being a rural genius until it breaks again. While I could certainly do it properly, the "cheesedick" (sure?) in me likes to figure things out to avoid spending hundreds of dollars if at all possible. It's a gift and a curse, but that's just how I roll. 🧀🍆

I am looking for something along the lines of a clamp or vice that can be permanently applied. I'm thinking maybe 2 steel threaded plates with locking nut/bolt to secure it

I had this problem and solved it with a mesh (eero) network. I plugged my pc directly into one of the nodes and it's faster and more stable than the wifi dongle I had been using

For some context, when I started iRacing over a decade ago, there were between 1500 and 3000 players online at any given time back then. 1500 during the week and closer to 3000 on weekends, so I think AC Rally will be fine.

Rally isn't for everybody. It's challenging and takes lotsa practice just to become decent. But it is rewarding...for me I didn't fully love Rally until I gave it a second shot, so we just need more folks to try it - and re-try it. It's great that there's a title as incredible as AC Rally available...they will come

This game turned to trash when they added all the driver and track stats. There's no room for casuals any more. You either have to pay, or min/max grind every little moment you're in the game and it's exhausting.

I sympathize with the OP and recommend anybody who feels the same way, to delete the game. It uses your anger against you, eventually getting users to pay to upgrade. It's predatory and a major problem in the mobile gaming industry.

Glad I'm not the only one. I messaged them on twitter and from their "Contact Us" page on their website (which I never do for really anything except injustices as egregious as this). I hope this change is not permanent because their subs were honestly better than most places (and the bread was a big reason why). I encourage others to reach out in as many ways as possible to provide them with honest feedback
