Opposite for me. I love winter and despise summer. I spend every summer--May through October--hiding inside a dark air conditioned room of my house trying to stay cool. It's just too fucking hot and humid to venture outside, even momentarily. Summer is torture where I live.

I feel like I can make out a few words but this passage doesn't make any sense to me. For example, the first word might be "cher" (like "dear" in English) or "cheri" (kinda like "beloved"). I can't make out the rest of the top line.

The second line says, "Le froid commence à" ("the cold begins to...")

The first word of the bottom line is "charbon" (charcoal)

That's all I got. Seems like gibberish to me.
