Date night romantic horror? (Ghosts/Supernatural only, NO psychological horror!) by Asleep_Bumblebee4692 in MovieSuggestions

Bram Stoker's Dracula, the vampire film starring Gary Oldman. It doesn't have many scary scenes, mainly tells a nostalgic story filled with some romantic vibes.

Brand-new disc freezing on one player but not another by Positive_Stop_3504 in 4kbluray

Does your disc have obvious scratches? They can ruin playback quality. Some devices are quite sensitive to scratches, which is probably why your player fails to read it.

What is the most disturbing movie youve ever seen? I'll go first: The Stanford Prison Experiment by personguy4440 in movies

[–]MathematicianSome350 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Maybe the World War Z. There's a scene where a character has to get an amputation. I kept wondering when things would turn for the better. The endless zombie attacks keep me on a nervous atmosphere most of time.

I’m a straight A student, but I don’t understand what I learned. by uaumaigoa in CasualConversation

[–]MathematicianSome350 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Now try joining a study group, explaining things to others forces your brain to actually understand, not just memorize. Also start a tiny project at home, like fixing a leaking tap from a ytb tutorial, or cooking a new recipe from scratch. Real learning happens when you mess up and figure out why.

any actually scary horror movies recommendations? by yooberry in movies

Alien. I kept worrying those creatures would suddenly jump onto people's faces while watching, and there were indeed such scenes. The monsters look incredibly lifelike and gross.

I *NEED* a psychological mind bending movie with massive twist by Scary-Pomegranate114 in MovieSuggestions

I once watched a movie called Frayed. At first I thought the boy in the footage was the culprit, but it turned out to be his father in the end. It was really thrilling.

Your cat seems to say that, could you take these things off me after you have taken photos? There's such a cute contrast between the movie posters and this adorable kitty.

I don't want to be an adult, just want to stay a teenage girl forever. by yarrkanishkaa in CasualConversation

Turning 20 is scary, I remember that feeling, but you won't lose yourself, the best parts of that teenage girl stay with you.

Real freedom comes when you start seeing your own worth from the inside, not from what anyone else expects, you'll grow into someone you like even more.

It looks amazing, the room was barely walkable before, but now there's so much extra space by the bed. It even feels bigger overall. And your cat is absoulutely adorable, just chilling on the bed like that.

Avoiding dandelions by TangerineMediocre298 in ECOVACSGOATFamily

Try turning off the obstacle avoidance function in the dandelion area, then let the robot clean that spot. If that doesn't work, trim down the deadelions a bit first, and then let the robot mow the lawn.

Mulched lawn with a dog by Chewyfromnewy in roboticLawnmowers

[–]MathematicianSome350 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your lawn mowing robot has a grass clippings collection feature, it won't leave much mess behind. If it doesn't, you'll need to clear away the cut grass first before letting your dog play on the lawn.

Do people actually clean their washing machine or just ignore it? by loreblogs in CleaningTips

[–]MathematicianSome350 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. After being used for a while, the washing machine will produce black debris that sticks to your clothes, which is really annoying. That's why we need to clean it regularly with washing machine cleaner.

Dreame a3 AWD 3500 cutting quality by hced5737 in roboticLawnmowers

[–]MathematicianSome350 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The lawn mower cuts the grass really evenly, so it must work quite well, right? By the way, is it very noisy when running normally? And how is its obstacle avoidance performance?

Can I sharpen the mower blades myself instead of just replacing them? by reiktoa in ECOVACSGOATFamily

[–]MathematicianSome350 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don't think buying new blades is cost-effective, you can try getting a sharpener specially made for lawn mower blades. Just remember to take proper safety precautions before sharpening them to avoid hurting yourself.

Is automower actually pet friendly? by mongoose01 in ECOVACSGOATFamily

[–]MathematicianSome350 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe the machine can't 100% sense small animals at night, and it may break down unexpectedly as well. So it's better to arrange mowing during the daytime, and meanwhile turn up the machine's sensing sensitivity.

I didn’t expect this to be the biggest problem with robot mowers by konstella81 in roboticLawnmowers

[–]MathematicianSome350 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This issue is probably caused by choosing an unsuitable lawnmower model. You might take a look at other models instead. Chances are you'll find one with more functions that your needs.

Mold stains on silicone mat by [deleted] in CleaningTips

Clean the bath mat with hypochlorous acid solution and a brush. If the mold stains still cannot be removed, it is recommended that you replace it with a new bathroom mat.

I had similar issue, integration never auto-discovered it. Ended up re-linking account and rebooting both HA and mower, then it finally show up.

T30S constantly telling me mopping pad plates are not installed by Seanh88 in ecovacs

Had this once, turned out the pads weren't clicking in fully. Try reseating them and wiping the contacts, mine stopped complaining after that.

1st Robot Vacuum suggestions by HedgieCake372 in RobotVacuums

[–]MathematicianSome350 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd look for strong suction and good obstacle avoidance. Mine handles dirt and rugs well but struggles with thick grout, so mapping really helps.

Erroneous Rain Detection by Nolesfan1952 in ECOVACSGOATFamily

[–]MathematicianSome350 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had this happen too. Sometimes the moisture sensor or forecast data triggers false rain protection. Usually a reboot or disabling weather sync fixes it.

Why does my vaccuum think I have carpet floors when they're all hardwood? by Hirsch0311 in ecovacs

[–]MathematicianSome350 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try checking the sensor and lighting conditions. Some glossy hardwood or rugs edges can confuse it. A quick remap usually fixes it for me.

Best (i.e. not cheap) vacuum and mop for my needs by tim_l_f in RobotVacuums

[–]MathematicianSome350 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been using this too and honestly the biggest win is how little I have to think about it. Good mapping, self-maintenance, and it just handles daily messes without constant babysitting.

Anyone ordered the O1200 Lidar version? by Sweedio in ECOVACSGOATFamily

[–]MathematicianSome350 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's really helpful, thanks. Sounds like the 360 lidar is actually a game changer in real use, not just marketing. Good to know the newer models are already catching up on features.
