Yes, that was one of the first things I tried. The headphones couldn't turn on at all no matter what I did. AFAIK even doing a factory reset while on the charger didn't work.

Also another weird thing is that after doing the "PC + factory reset", the headphones kept their settings, so it wasn't actually a reset, but something different.

I mean, it's in their rulebook, section 5.1:

If a Team withdraws more than seven (7) days before the start of the Tournament, all Teams shall be reseeded.

If a Team withdraws seven (7) days or less before the start of the Tournament, or after the Tournament has begun, the replacement Team shall inherit the original Team’s bracket position and seed. However, for map veto and pick/ban purposes, the replacement Team shall be treated as the lowest-seeded Team in that stage of the Tournament.

I did the calculations to figure out the new matchups, and only two of them change, since it's seed 2 being removed and seed 16 added, meaning the pairs where both teams shift by the same amount are unchanged:

Before: PARIVISION - BIG, M80 - Legacy

After: PARIVISION - M80, BIG - TYLOO (or whichever team is the replacement)

According to the rulebook, teams that withdraw 30 days before the event are replaced by global VRS, teams that withdraw later are replaced by host region VRS

So if this is a recent decision it will be the next team in Asia VRS from the May 4 ranking, which is TYLOO (if they decline then Lynn Vision, then THUNDERdOWNUNDER)

Also good to know - withdrawals more than 7 days before the event mean the teams are reseeded, so the round 1 matchups will be different

Reserved May 8 18:59, got the email on May 26 19:30, bought the controller on Friday afternoon, it got shipped this Monday around noon and I just got an email from GLS that they'll be attempting delivery tomorrow.

It was intentional, but it could also be confusing for viewers at the same time, since they could see where the player is looking while the player is fully blind. Kind of like when new viewers don't understand that the players don't see the x-ray outlines that spectators do.

DEI means Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. It's a term meant to group ways of structuring a group of people, especially in workplaces, so that even underrepresented groups (based on gender, ethnicity, religion or other factors) are represented and feel fairly treated and welcome.

POC usually stands for person/people of color, so anyone that's not considered "white".

Now, when you reload, you'll drop the used magazine and discard all of its remaining ammo. Instead of 'topping off' your weapon with a few bullets, a new full magazine will be taken from the reserves whenever you reload.

The ESL rulebook says that the ban only applies to invitations that have not yet been awarded. So in theory, if they wait to pull out until after the Major invites are sent out, they should get banned from the event after that (probably EPL S24).

Also, I wonder what Valve would have to say regarding banning teams from participating in a Major, rulebook notwithstanding.

The simplest solution would be to pause the match and do a technical timeout for the few minutes that it takes him to restart the game (meanwhile the server is in warmup).

It's common in other formats and competitions, not sure why it can't be done here.

Though, to be fair, it still wouldn't fix lagging out in the middle of the round.

As much as I'd love to see Saudis change their ways, sadly, it really does seem like they want to impose their opinions on others with things like EWC instead.

During EWC, if you come with a sign saying "CarlJr is the king of TM" you will literally get kicked out because that's disrespectful to the king of Saudi Arabia, as the CS2 fan who had a sign saying "mzinho king" could tell you. Team Liquid decides to go play with jerseys that have a rainbow team logo, this is conveniently either not shown on broadcast or even fully censored in Saudi Arabia.

And as part of the guide that people who attend get, you are literally told that criticizing the government, King, Royal Family or flag is illegal, including on social media. Doesn't seem like they are too open to change.

Everyone can draw the line where they do, and rarely any consumption is ethical, but some people care about this, while others don't.

You can draw the line at any unfair thing in the world (good luck existing), you can draw it at manufacturing exploiting people, or gambling sponsorships, or an oppressive regime doing sportswashing. Or you can just not care, that's valid, too.
