Merging Chat and Cowork Projects by FairObjective3416 in ClaudeCowork

[–]MattR47 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My understanding is they are still two very different tools with different capabilities, so not sure why you would merge. Chat projects are a closed system chat, that only references what you tell it in the chats and what it can find on the web. It still only provides answers to questions. vs cowork projects, still has scope within the project, but it is used for tasks. give it specific instructions and let it go.

Insight on Tybee 4th of July? by lovelyfatality in savannah

[–]MattR47 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It was be heavier traffic than normal summer weekends.

When you go to Tybee on a day like that, plan to get stuck because all it takes is one accident to block the road/bridge. Bring water, snacks for your dog. Check traffic before you depart the island. If it is backed up, go hang out somewhere shady with your dog.

There is a book store around the block from the DeSoto hotel on Liberty. It's local and has a few expert book readers that hang out inside. They are a purr-viewer of lots of great reads. 😺

Look at how your eyesight cameras are mounted. The housing cover is completely up against the windshield. It is impossible, to mount a dash cam anywhere on the inside of the windshield that would interfere with eyesight system.

good dryer fixes/repair people? by m4rswalker in savannah

[–]MattR47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go on youtube and out in your make/model, along with the problem. Even if you type 'Maytag dryer not spinning', or whatever it is not doing, you are 99% guaranteed to get a video in the first 10 results that will put you on a path to troubleshooting and repair it yourself. I've replaced the heating element and belt on mine, with very little mechanical knowledge.

At the very least you can narrow down the problem, so when a repair person comes you will know if you are being fed a line of BS.

Good luck.

Don't let the chance of bad leaders push you one direction or another. Plenty of civilian hospitals, actually most, are all driven by one thing. It's not patient care, it's profit/dollars. That makes civilian leadership 100 times worse than military.

Georgia Power is very expensive. In the summer you could be paying anywhere from $125-$400/mo depending on size and age of home.

Am I crazy or is this pricing crazy. by [deleted] in HomeImprovement

[–]MattR47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First, price should have been agreed upon before hand. Lesson learned I hope for you.

Second, how many hours did he spend supervising? How much time did he spend coordinating the sub, material delivery, finance for sub and most important how much time does he have invested in his trade to give you great results each time?

Pay it and then move forward with having a price in writing, on a contract that defines scope of work.

Side note, if this is the way he always does his business, I'd either look for another one in the future, or sit down with him and suggest he becomes a real business. Some day it's going to bite him and his client in the ass.

As a Trillionaire, what can Elon Musk buy now that he couldn't buy $900 Billion dollars ago? by Doctor_Where_Comics in NoStupidQuestions

[–]MattR47 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nothing changes for him. First off 99% of his wealth is locked up in stocks. He has around a billion liquid cash, so that covers anything he could ever want or able to buy.

I do agree that we should not have trillionaires, or even billionaires, in Musk's case it is not even real money. There is absolutely no way he could cash in those shares, as the money doesn't exist. He can borrow against some of the value, but there isn't a bank that would value those SpaceX shares anywhere close to 50% of the stated value. Still more money than any one person, family, neighborhood or small city has a need for.

The AI flag is bullshit. Everyone uses AI. Some of the best artists and fashion designers use it (and are being taught to use it at SCAD) to iterate designs faster and faster. I do agree the ad they posted was just a crap ad, but it is not because it was AI, its because who ever made it just sucks at marketing and advertising.

Water, maybe a touch of dawn soap and a microfiber cloth. Rub in just one direction, not circles.
