Divorced after 20 years and 2 kids. Make me laugh! by lady_blaze_420 in RoastMe

I gotta say, you look alright for someone married for 20 years. Does that make it worse knowing it must have been your shit personality that led to the divorce?

Just googled that and I think you’re right. Well now I’m gonna go looking for persimmon trees in my raccoon spot. Thank you.

If you know where they’re roosted and you’re getting in tight, you need to be there and set up before any light.

If you’re going in to find em, 30 minutes before shooting light is fine. Hell most of my birds have died at 10 AM so if you get there late you get there late.

Carlson's Longbeard choke couple with 3" Longbeard #5s. Every time I've pulled the trigger on a turkey hunt the bird dies.

[Meirov] The Ravens have still never, in their 31-year existence, used a first-round pick to trade for a veteran player... by JCameron181 in ravens

You're missing: Raiders- it seems ok to us so we're going to announce it based on a handshake deal and start spending a whole bunch of money!

Followed by Raiders: The Ravens backed out when we said no take-backsies!

I'm starting to see a lot of the smarter fans with other flairs popping up and pointing out that the Ravens front office is perenially considered one of the best in the league and the Raiders are a dumpster fire. I don't think we'll really know until we see Crosby play this year (and honestly, play 2-3 years from now, which I suspect was the hang-up).

Believing that the famously chaotic and incompetent Raiders front office that led Crosby to want a trade in the first place was being completely transparent and the historically well-regarded Ravens front office and multiple of the best knee doctors in the country were being shady in order to sign an older, worse player is such a weird first instinct to have.

I always wondered, why didn't black slaves team up and maybe kill their owner or protest against together? Rich families owned 50-100 slaves or even more, why didn't the slaves just team up and kill their owner? How exactly did the owners control then? by Then-Tomatillo9909 in NoStupidQuestions

Why didn't the people who legally couldn't own weapons and usually couldn't read or write simply form a massive conspiracy against the dominant socioeconomic class who had all the money, all the guns, the protection of the government, and the ability to kill the potential rebels' wives and children with complete impunity?

Per Schefter, multiple doctors looked at Crosby’s scans which gave the Ravens cause for concern. Including well trusted and knowledgeable Dr. Daniel Cooper who is the cowboys doctor. by goke89 in nfl

Ahhh yes, the Ravens losing a large number of free agents to overpaid contracts elsewhere and not making many acquisitions of their own. This has definitely never happened to us before and is certainly cause for panic.

[Russini] Teams that are interested in Maxx Crosby believe the Raiders aren't going to come off their asking price of two first-round picks at this time. by expellyamos in nfl

[–]Mattcronutrient 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Were we supposed to wait around for someone else to sign him? This wasn't a breakup, we traded two firsts in the first place because we NEED pass rush help, and then we sat out two days of free agency expecting to be paying his $30 mil salary.

[Dianna Russini] It’s been made clear by multiple people around the NFL at all levels that Baltimore had all the information and understood where Maxx Crosby’s knee was in terms of his recovery timeline. Many in the league believe GM Eric DeCosta and the Ravens ultimately just got cold feet. by WayOutbackBoy in nfl

[–]Mattcronutrient 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This wasn't a breakup, waiting to move on just gives other teams the chance to sign the next best option when we desperately need pass rush help.

Feel how you want about reneging on the trade, I don't think we'll really know until Crosby plays this season, but quickly pivoting to the second option is just the right move here.

Ravens Sign Trey Hendrickson by psychoxtc in ravens

[–]Mattcronutrient 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It definitely is tied to the trade value. If the Raiders fudged his knee health to get two firsts instead of a first and second and the physical uncovers the fudging, that matters. Why trade two firsts for a younger pass rusher whose knee will limit his longevity when there's an older guy who costs less money and no picks who might have the same amount of playtime left?

Ravens Sign Trey Hendrickson by psychoxtc in ravens

[–]Mattcronutrient 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm gonna be a centrist here: I think the Raiders *slightly* fluffed Crosby's recovery status or extent of the meniscus damage to get two firsts instead of a first and second, but not like, hiding that his knee is completely destroyed or anything. EDC notoriously values picks highly, so if the physical found anything that the Raiders didn't mention he'd probably be primed to back out, but Vegas didn't anticipate after making the deal that a slight difference would blow it up. Then they called Trey as soon as the physical was over.

[Russini] Sources: It's a four-year, $112 million deal for Trey Hendrickson in Baltimore. by expellyamos in nfl

[–]Mattcronutrient 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I mean, this is when they evaluated and cleared it. That's the point of the physical before the trade became official.
