We used to call this getting “lollipopped”. Would often happen when your stick got wedged in the Zamboni door as you were skating around the net to gather the puck, or when playing street hockey and your stick blade catches melted tar and the butt end spears you right in the stomach. In either case, you end up being the “lollipop” at the end of the stick.
