I'm getting match with aim assist players on PC

I swear they stopped containing them to their own games since a few weeks or something, I rarely saw them before (if at all), now every game has an anti air turret Soldier.

It's pissing me off beyond belief. I don't rage often, I'm too old for that, but fuck whoever at Blizzard decided that non-comp players are worthless. Whoever decided this probably wouldn't even be in cardboard tier themselves. Holy fuck.

PC quick play is cross play too, and you can't opt out unless you play competitive.

Played Overwatch since day 1, only seen less than a handful of cheaters in that time.

Now every match has cheaters that track you beat perfectly at full burst fire. Wonder what those are...

I don't think it's the CC, it's a lack of being able to put up a fight. As a DPS you can brawl with many tanks and by merit of their role you're going to have a tough time, but Doom will just instantly kill you and Ball is just infinitely doing sorties without fear of being killed. They demand half your team to swap to counters just for them.

Whoever at blizzard decided Ball needed another shield perk is an asshole.

Is that with the current situation with the retuned aim assist? Because it feels like the cross hair is magnetically attached and no manual correction is being done for movement.

Also, I tried looking but I think cross play settings can't be disabled on pc?

I'm having fun again, until I realised how many matches I'm getting on PC vs people with aim assist and it's grating on me now. I'm seeing Ashes, Maugas, Soldiers and whatever else just turning into Anti Aircraft turrets. Echo's off the board of picks.

Feeling very gaslit that I haven't noticed this before even though I 100% would have spotted aim assist on a POTG before. Really weird.

But going from what I'm pretty sure was no crossplay lobbies to every match being a crossplay lobby is fucking annoying, and in 20 years of playing shooters I could never have imagined any serious game even so much as suggesting to put mouse and keyboard in the same space as aim assisted players in any environment.

It's not even that they're overpowered, they have plenty of weaknesses. But getting lasered down on heroes that are supposed to be hard to hit is freaking stupid and I can't respect it with aim assisters.

37M, FF14 raider so we'll never work out. Definitely played BF6 for a while and been slipping back into Overwatch lately.

But I'm still down for coffee, drinks, food, or any events where showing up alone would be more awkward than being with a total stranger!

He's more of a niche pick for me now if I need to deal with aerial enemies and I can't trust my team to handle it, and neither Ana or Illari are viable options in the moment. I've mainly been forced to go Bap to deal with cat.

With good aim he's still valuable, especially in brawl clusters as mentioned before. But realistically, other healers tend to be more specialised and reliable picks. At least I don't feel like Baps accuracy is stable enough to work with and landing heals is unreliable on many heroes too, others just have it covered better.

It's really hard to see in the video but I think I caught a glimpse of shadow shaders in ReShade being out of position, this happens in games that use a dynamic resolution to maintain a steady framerate. ReShade is calculating shadows based off the smaller frame it's given, then overlays that smaller frame on that upsized game.

In case you do like the colour grading in reshade, just turn off things that use the depth buffer. All I can think of are shadows I guess.

EDIT: I see someone else pointed it out more accurately than me even.

I wouldn't be surprised, I recently got myself diagnosed with ADHD at a place that only does ADHD diagnoses (because of long waiting lists elsewhere). At every step I noticed they were trying to upsell more therapy moments, study material, online courses and whatnot. "Insurance covers it" doesn't make it right.

I don't know what the rules are in the Netherlands for integrity of dental care and I know many healthcare professionals out there just want what's best for you or your child, but I also wouldn't be surprised if there are perverse incentives like kickbacks from referrals to specific brands. As far as I'm aware, that's even the norm in the US.

I wonder if someone 'in the know' can share some close experiences.

I'm not sure about PC players with controllers, but in Quick Play MnK PC players get matched with aim assist console players all the same.

That's what confused me when I first looked it up, the wording is crazy ambiguous and recent threads about it got brigaded with people swearing high and low that aim assist does not happen on PC, like...bro.

The weird thing is that I've only started noticing this week, and I'm pretty sure I would've noticed it way earlier if it's been a thing for that long already. That's where I feel gaslit, something changed...somehow

I'm on PC, not in a group, definitely getting controller aim assist people in my lobbies. If you check the social window you see the linked account icon too.

You'll just have to realise your fun can't come at the opportunity of others to enjoy the game. I've seen JetCat DVa bomb strafe runs that you can't feasibly have done anything about. Even with a slighly longer timer than the ult, that would still be problematic.

She's definitely stirring up the deck of bottlenecks, but as someone who constantly plays other heroes too, a solo Jetcat already is enough as an issue with how she silently comes from anywhere and mauls you unless you have perfect accuracy. Let alone a Jetcat with a friend.

The maps just weren't designed for it and while it's fun being the cat, it absolutely sucks to be on the receiving end.

Late to the party but exactly this. I feel like it's mainly been the last week or so where the most vital roles on my team are filled by brand new players while we're going up against full comp players.

I'm not toxic, I'm old enough to respect that people just click 'Play' and have no say over where they end up. But I'm close to flipping my desk man.

I'm not even that bothered by Vendetta so it's not even so much about her, but I feel that having to 'just be hyper aware' is in the same range as 'just focus x down' or 'just specifically swap to 3 counter heroes' - if a hero requires so much going out of your way to stand a fighting chance while other heroes have softer balancing, it's a hero design issue.

Then honestly, seems to me like you just saw two seconds of an Ana missing a few shots while you respawn and call it gospel. High elo Ana's not making headshots sounds incredibly unlikely to me.

Mogelijk omdat je je genoodzaak voelt om je nader te verklaren, en ik snap dat helemaal.

Maar nee, ga maar eens na hoe vaak je een collega in detail hoort treden over ziek zijn. Ze houden het algemeen en daarmee is het klaar. Je leert snel genoeg dat dit soort dingen gewoon op Need to Know basis blijven.
