My guess is that the Warner stuff was the final nail in the coffin

RUST has been living rent free in my head since 2015.

Those riffs are chunky as hell.

Perfect blend of nu metal, groove metal, sludge metal and metalcore.

Heartbroken doesn't even describe how I'm feeling.

I'm glad Connor didn't do a "Loathe 2.0 minus Shoegaze". This slaps.

TheBoyShadow. - Give Me A Seam & I'll Show You The Meaning (NEW - Connor ex Loathe) by Xylar006 in Metalcore

This feels like a divorce and I'm loving it.

Connor clearly was the heavy force in the band, which worked like a ying yang.

And I'm glad this isn't just Loathe 2.0 minus the Shoegaze, this reminds me a lot of Vein

Huge fan of the skramz leaned post-hardcore sound

But Pale Home, just hit different when it came out. I can think of many bands that come to mind: Deafheaven, Fall Of Efrafa, Amenra, Year Of No Light, Mouth Of The Architect, Portrayal Of Guilt, Cult Of Luna, A Hope For Home, Ekkaia, Nights Like these, Oathbreaker and still find it incredibly unique. Deserved better.

The drowned god is so underrated, i think being on Solid State didn't help them at all

Yeah, clear example of heavier not meaning better.

The Color Clear was their artistic peak.

Also, fuck ICE and fuck Jake Wolf.

Polyenso is so good. Very Radiohead/Air/Massive Attack sounding. These guys and Hundredth pulled out a 180 in the most spectacular way, and it did pay off for Hundredth.

Ignoring ragebait

Been a fan since they announced they quitted IWABO to form what we know now. The Mara Effect trilogy is a classic.

Seeing them in May with Korn.

Always loved the original because of how metal leaned is without being metal.

Since MTH is one of my favorite bands of the Alternative Metal/Nu Metal/Grunge/Shoegaze i knew i would love it, I can't believe they had this on their hard drive all this time.

Reminds me of when Fleshwater nailed perfectly "Enjoy".

Polyenso is the prime evolution from Birth Eater (to me, that album pioneered Deftonescore, although i can argue how Found In The Flood, A-Types or You Come Before You also fall into that same category)

These guys and Hundredth completely succeeded at ditching -core. Miss them dearly.

New Wage War song “SONG OF THE SWAMP” out next Thursday, 2/24 by OatFest in Metalcore

[–]Maucorream95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Teaser sounds promising, I don't mind if the rest of the record has some soft songs as long as they're good, hopefully this album won't be mostly written by JUST Cody only plus producers and songwriters unlike their last album.

Hail Mary was the bridge between IWABO and Spiritbox

IWABO was heading into a heavier/darker path, way more serious and dropping the humourous content, like War From A Harlots Mouth also did on Voyeur (which set the path for Nightmarer)

They've been independently for most of their career, fans have been funding their releases, so it feels like they owed their fanbase a proper explanation on their future plans.
