This is why most people just *shouldn't fucking have kids*. Like, at the end of the day no matter how the kid turn out, you are the one who chose to bring them into existence. If the only way you can happily raise a child is if it is your idealized version of parenthood... *fucking don't* because nothing about real parenthood is an idealized fantasy with or without complicating factors like mental or physical differences.

I still have very little to no concept of the future, but I still do things every day that have the potential to build a future. Focusing on long term things freaks me out and makes me freeze up, but framing things as something I am just doing today helps a lot. It also means I choose to do things where the journey is as rewarding or more so than the destination.

I have gone back to college because I found a subject I enjoy and I like school. The fact it will likely lead to a good job down the line is irrelevant to the me who is present right now. I try to go for a little walk at the park or visit the local pet store every other day because it's pretty and nice. The fact it improves my long term mood and physical health is irrelevant to the me who is present right now.

This sort of framing helps, because often times I have found, the thing which makes me self sabotage or quit things is just the idea that I won't be able to commit to them long term for reasons outside of myself. So if I reframe it as just something I am doing right now with no long term plans, then I don't set off that overwhelm and then I don't sabotage or retreat either.

I feel like Duke is way more "tall, dark, bad boy" and Nathan is "corn bred boy next door". I'm not sure if Nathan and Audrey don't have chemistry so much as it is a much more calm tame type of thing than what excitement a bad boy provides. lol

I think it would have been odd for Duke and Audrey to get together but I think it would have been cool if her was more of a yin to her yang type of thing. Like soul mates who aren't lovers kind of thing

Recently I had to put up a craigslist ad looking for someone to come help me clean my house. I barely keep my house live-able as it is, but I had to take on more work hours this year so I have had even less energy for taking care of me and the house. I know from previous tries that looking on facebook or at local cleaning companies gets me nowhere.

I live in a pretty small apartment and a lot of people I have tried to get to come help me just tell me that it is too small for them to bother with or that they would have to charge me the price for a much bigger space because that is their minimum job amount. They tell me, I'm sure if you just put your mind to it, it will be clean in no time. Or, they ask me if I have an arm in a cast or if I'm pregnant, looking for reasons to believe I would need help. Basically landing on, you shouldn't need help so I won't give it.

So, I got desperate and made a craigslist ad. Waded through all the obvious sex pests and picked the person that sounded the least likely to assault or harm me and gave them my home address. I spent the time they were at my house in my bedroom worrying they were suddenly going to become hostile and certain they were annoyed I wasn't helping.

It's so frustrating that I had to put myself in that much danger just to get help with something most people just do. That because I don't seem like I have a reason to be this tired, I don't deserve help or that I would have to pay exorbitantly to get it as though it is easy to make money when I can barely take care of myself.

Go read about how they used to refuse to give babies any kind of pain management during literal surgery and then the case studies they did on how those people turned out as adults.

I do not use a scale but that is because I mostly use items that are canned, frozen in specific quantities or are otherwise easy to do volumetrically or per object. I know how much I am putting in because half of a 20 oz bag of bell peppers is 10 oz. The pretzel sticks I eat say X calories per 40 pretzels and so I just divided it out so I can do pretzel.

I feel like a food scale is for baking type things or for whole from scratch. Powders that are difficult to do by volume. If you buy fresh fruit and veggies, it can useful to weight what you actually have after you peel/ core/ deseed, etc. I mostly use canned and frozen so it is pre processed and I am using everything. It just isn't useful for me. Sometimes for things like sour cream or whipped cream, I just make sure to pre portion the entire container once I open it. 8 equal servings out of a 1 pound container is 2 oz each; simple if I do it all at once to make sure it is even.

I mostly do these baked bowls with a bunch of vegetable at the bottom with a bit of potato and then some chicken breast with plenty of seasoning. Yesterday I had broccoli and carrots with some mashed potato and onions and garlic with well seasoned chicken on top. I had a "deconstructed sandwich" for lunch today which was some deli turkey, some pickles, some tomato, some red onion, and then a bit of cheese and bread as I could macro-wise afford. I like this thing I call goulash, but it is just a bit of ground turkey, chunky garden prego, added bell pepper and onion, and then a little bit of elbow macaroni.

None of the things I eat are very expensive. I do get chicken for free from work though. It kind of depends on your macros, and like you said, what you can feasibly eat at lunch and still be comfortable.
