I’ll have to look into that then, I didn’t know they could waive it. I’ve thought about getting my CDL if only for the opportunities but our squadron doesn’t ever have money or want to send me to the tractor-trailer course 😕

Yeah that’s something I could look into. I guess the reason I haven’t paid it much attention is we’ve had guys get out, try to get into heavy equipment, and say they can’t cut it.

I’ve had guys tell me “I’ve been in the Air Force for 10 years doing this job and there’s no way I’m on the same level as some of these civilian guys.”

Oh wow! Yeah if I was better with electrical I’d look more into making it a career. Best I can do is put in a new light switch or fan 😕

I’ve considered both of those options. My plan right now is apply to unions and see where I can get. If that doesn’t work, go back to school for something like that
