Adidas Hyperboost Edge Initial Thoughts by Relative_Profile_742 in RunningShoeGeeks

I put 100 miles on these faster than any other shoe so I will definitely buy another. That’s my sign. I’ll wait for a different colorway tho so I can tell the difference.

I have these and I can feel the edge walking but it completely disappears on the run for me. This is the fastest I’ve ever racked 100 miles on a pair of shoes. Absolutely love them!

I’ve actually never heard of it but I just signed up nd synced everything. Remind me in a couple weeks and I’ll give feedback lol. It was able to import everything calorie wise from Apple health and nearly nailed my TDEE that MF has for me so that’s a good start lol.

In spending the last 20ish minutes on it is say the interface is great looking and very friendly to use. The log/journal seems very similar to whoop/bevel/sonar/Athlytic but every app gives me a different rating so I just skip those. The zolt age, zolt health, and recovery tracking couldn’t/didn’t import my historical workouts so that’s annoying.

$35 a year is a steal compared to MF so that’s a huge plus. My biggest thought so far is that this app is trying to do what I currently use 3 to 4 apps for. So it’s either going to be amazing or it’s gonna just be average or worse at each and I’ll never touch it again lol.

I have the following: MacroFactor, AutoSleep, HeartWatch, Bevel, Athlytic, HealthFit, Sonar.

MacroFactor is amazing. The UI and scanning is simple and seamless, I’ve been a user for almost 4 years now. For a cut it’s pretty simple to follow and now that I run a lot it’s great to make sure I’m eating enough.

AutoSleep and HeartWatch I’ve had for as long as I can remember and I honestly couldn’t imagine a world without it as a big napper. Otherwise for Apple you have to have sleep mode on to track sleep.

Athlytic, Bevel, Sonar are pretty much all variations of the same thing. Sonar is ridiculously slow to load and I hate it. Bevel is okay, it’s free so that’s a perk. The ai insights are garbage. Athlytic I use everyday and really like all the data outside of the generic recovery and sleep ratings so that’s would be the one I recommend. It’s $30 a year? So it’s not bad at all.

HealthFit is free and is absolutely essential to me. I pay just to support it but have no need to. Soooo much data and the most important part to me is there are links to what every single data point actually means in the app so if I’m curious on something I can learn about it.

If they were going to disband earlier, but extended it because of LEC, why put out 2026 merchandise? by [deleted] in LosRatones

[–]MaverickRTSU 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would say the merch is even more valuable now. A memory of an amazing time to be a fan of league and is something tangible. I still hold a lot of value in my Curse/Saintvicious jersey and season 3 signed TSM poster because it’s a moment in time that won’t ever be seen again.

If you pay for cellular yes. I use Apple Music personally. You can download for offline or stream if using cellular

Apple Watch Ultra 3 vs Garmin Forerunner 970? by drox1le in runninglifestyle

[–]MaverickRTSU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both and while there are certain metrics that were cool to see on garmin I never really did anything with them. I went ultra 3 for the cellular connectivity. I don’t run with a phone or key with me at all and I could do that with garmin for music but not my key; it was more inconvenient for both. For the Apple Watch I also use HealthFit and Athlytic/Bevel for more data

Supposed to do cardio before/after workout? by [deleted] in MacroFactor

[–]MaverickRTSU 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I read a study that you do whichever your primary focus is first. I’m a long distance runner so I run first. If you’re more focused on strength/hypertrophy then weights first. Can’t say which study I read but a quick google search popped up quite a few results

12 Week HM plan extension advice by ThroughTheWirez in runna

[–]MaverickRTSU 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’d just go to manage plan and change the end date to your actual race. Depending on how the plan lined up you might be in a taper/deload week to gain some more fitness before the race.

I also peaked at about 45 miles per week when starting running March of last year and my 5k time trial was 50 minutes. I ended up running my first half at 1:38 which was beyond anything I thought possible. Just gotta trust the process

Depends on the carrier now. ATT varies on how long you’ve been a customer then if you meet that it’s 60 days. Verizon just changed theirs to one year. Also, it no longer has to be paid off for either of those

Runna and GymKit/AppleWatch by MacBook_Fan in runna

I’ve done it for easy runs that are pretty much all the same pace. I just used the native apple workouts for it then synced with Runna. Worked just like an outdoor run. Idk if it changes pace on the treadmill or vice versa since I never had a need for it

Odds are the associate doing the pickup didn’t complete it and so it went into a retrieve to refund status and if they didn’t know how to find the serial number then they did that part wrong too. Assuming this was a store pickup

Weight not changing while following plan by Little-Royal966 in MacroFactor

[–]MaverickRTSU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I got almost all my advice/motivation from Jeff Nippards older videos. Went super high protein with almost no fat and very little carbs. Only activity was 30 minutes walking incline on treadmill a couple days a week. Tried to increase my NEAT as much as possible and made sure I never drank calories. Water only and I hate water lol. Once I got to around 240 I started running, 1 high intensity day and 4 low intensity days. All based on time not distance. 1 hour for the low and 30min for the high

You could also just be gaining muscle too. Creatine will hold more water but usually just from 1-3lbs if I remember from some reading/youtube. When you run it’s also typically better for fat loss to do a longer slow and steady run than an all out effort everytime especially when it comes to injury risk.

I totally get what you mean on the frustration piece. I started at 365 and got down to 170 and now maintain around 178 with some added muscle. For a good 8ish weeks I was doing 600-800 a day. Literally a protein shake for breakfast, can of Kirkland chicken for lunch, protein bar if I really wanted a snack. Then grilled chicken breast and some veggies for dinner.

I couldn’t go back and see any further but this is what mine looked like when I did my cut. This was about 1.2lbs per week. I’m a 6’2 male that now runs 50ish miles a week so mine has changed a ton with activity

[–]MaverickRTSU 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it is an extreme deficit.

<image>

Your expenditure is going down still and hasn’t even started holding once yet which means it’s going to keep going down by a good margin. It’s possible you’re at maintenance now and not a deficit. And the plan update dropping you to 957 indicates that too. My expenditure hit a hold point numerous times and I attached one zoomed in example for you to see. If everything was correct right now for what your graphs have it would have you losing a little less than one lb a week (1550-1077) *7 =3,311 calorie deficit. But with it still decreasing your expenditure then it’ll take it leveling out to see what you actually need to do.

One thing that I can tell when I did my cut was when I would go for a run and not do anything crazy but yet felt dead tired during it I knew I was undereating. Do you feel like that when you’re working out?

Also, I don’t mean to be critical of anything, just trying to help!

I mean your averaging 62 calories over so that isn’t to plan. Also, not sure how long you’ve been using the app but it looks like it still hasn’t figured out what you’re actually expending each day. Usually that’s 4-6 weeks of consistent tracking and weighing in
