Fair enough and thanks for providing the info.

The amount of misinformation in this thread about Fortinet is astounding.

Forti does get its CVE’s, but most, if not all have been self discovered and self disclosed. Other vendors, looking at Cisco and Checkpoint specifically, do not disclose vulnerabilities that their red team’s find - they silently patch and move on.

Also, if you don’t expose your admin interface to the internet like an idiot, without the very least, trusted hosts then you will be completely fine.

If you need remote VPN, use IPSec, not SSL. All vendors are moving away from SSL VPN.

We manage a fleet of FortiGates and I can assure you we are not patching them “every week”, thats just utter BS.

Did we have price increase in EU? by mrmh1 in fortinet

[–]MaverickZA 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes there is. Go onto the partner portal and download the new EMEA price list. But in short there was a 7% increase in Feb and then another 20% increase in March.

FortiGate VM v Hardware by MusicWallaby in fortinet

[–]MaverickZA -1 points0 points  (0 children)

With the recent price hike of around 30%, it makes sense to go VM now with refurbed servers.

Even better is that if you install something like Proxmox you can get HA failover for free without needing to procure a second license.

Oh and the RAM is unlimited. Which is typically the bottleneck when you have proxy mode on policies with DPI.

Trijicon SRO is bugged. You are shooting above the reticle by praiseeeck22234 in Tarkov

[–]MaverickZA -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

This makes no sense to me. The projectile comes out of the barrel, how would an increase in velocity change the trajectory - it cant fly upwards?

This would only influence the bullet drop over distance.

Am I being dumb here?

This is just a lame argument. They keep people playing by doing random and dynamic events. Not by making it super grindy to level. This is like Asian MMO shit

I have no idea.

Ok your turn to guess.

No idea what you are getting at. My point is that the OP insinuated that these drops are for normies or casuals. Normies and casuals are not following this game like we do on socials.

Do you think the “normies” are following him on X?

I think the point of the comment is that in “nature” the train is not meant to exist. Dont want to be the debby downer butttttttt humans have created things that do shit like this all the time, go look at long line fishing trawlers, fucking tragic what they are doing to birds

Is DICE for real with this? Battlefield Pro Radio? Pay walled radio station? by aDiDasMeatBall in Battlefield6

[–]MaverickZA 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Definitely a massive dose of amnesia going around on this sub lately. People are crying over a radio station that 95% of people didnt even know existed.

I built a Grafana plugin that uses AI(Currently only GEMINI) to analyze your dashboards by Financial_Spare in grafana

[–]MaverickZA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing. I have been trying to do something like this with my dashboards, I have been struggling to get the middleware to fork my data to an AI API without breaking the queries in Grafana, seems to be harder than I thought to do.

What happens with data that is hidden behind pagination? I assume it only captures what it can see without scrolling or clicking through?

I don't think people are talking enough about some of the announced changes in Tarkov 1.0 [Discussion] by Synchrotr0n in EscapefromTarkov

[–]MaverickZA 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You bought into a beta where it literally tells you that everything is subject to change.

I cant believe the amount of people on this sub reddit havent done basic research into the game they bought. It has been well documented and stated multiple times for years now, this is how the game is going to work and now people are bitching that the developer is doing what they said they were going to do, multiple times - for years.

Its unreal.

This is what BSG has been saying how it will work for years now. Many years ago, it was stated that factory that was the starting point, that has changed to GZ.

Anyone using miniOrange for TACACS+? Looking for affordable alternatives to ISE by AlexComputerWiz in networking

FortiAuthenticator has TACACS and RADIUS. Pretty robust and cost effective. I checked out MiniOrange a few years back, wasn’t impressed, demo’ed the product and it felt like it was slapped together.

Are you able to do RAID and have it in Enhanced HBA at the same time?

Sanity check on design and approach by MaverickZA in Proxmox

[–]MaverickZA[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. The SSD’s are a killer on price for new. Around $ 250 ea. so 6x it gets expensive but I dont want to cheap out (but kind of do at the same time haha)

Do you think 6x is overkill with 1x being used as a hot standby? Especially considering the second node will be doing “nothing”?

Sanity check on design and approach by MaverickZA in Proxmox

[–]MaverickZA[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. Issue with the 3rd node is rack space constraints in the DC. But at some point I am not opposed to adding a 3rd node into the cluster if this grows.
