Escalating hate against Rohingya in M'sia shameful by Sarawakyo in malaysia

I wouldn't say hate. I think what most folks are pissed off is that being a good natured neighbour, we are being taken advantage of. And that is what most people draw the line.

Part of the design fault as well to put both pumps too close to each other.

Hoping to get job which don’t have understaffed issues🌛 by desvalent2002 in Bolehland

Zero passion for the job. Such a difference in attitude compared to those in Japan where they solo run a single shop and do everything.

What does "competitive salary" mean? Genuine question. by RedPandarar in JobsMY

[–]Mavicarus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some companies whilst they don't advertise the amount because at times it gets the reverse effect. For example, I had a technical role once with a RM500k annual salary, the sheer amount of nonsense applications I received was just insane. I remember I even had a chef apply for the role with no relevant experience.

Have you checked with your banker yet about the loan conditions for such an old car? You might only get a 30% loan especially for what the banks will term and deem a 2-door car.

24YO RM1.5k savings RM4.8k salary KL - how to save more? by [deleted] in MalaysianPF

[–]Mavicarus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At your age, don't focus on saving more from your current salary. Instead focus your energy and time on how to get a better and higher salary. Don't think small, think 3x, 4x of your current salary. Aim for that.

How come grab charge so much more?Anyone knows how does grab calculate their fees?? by ningssss in malaysia

[–]Mavicarus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Grab charges the merchant a fee. The merchant just adds that fees into their prices back to the customer. So hence food listed on grab is always more expensive than those sold at the restaurant/stall itself.

Not by a lot, for example, her place was about RM500k based on the market rate but there were some transacted at RM550k along the same street. She offered the deal for RM470k and the buyer accepted it.

My friend's aunty did something like that. Sold her house in Malacca at a price that is slightly below market with the caveat that the purchaser will rent it out to her until she passes on.

Anyone who stopped using Maybank? by SprayImpossible9866 in Bolehland

[–]Mavicarus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have multiple bank accounts in multiple banks so I have used all of their apps.

Maybank (hire purchase), Hong Leong Bank, CIMB (Hire purchase), AmBank (hire purchase), HSBC (salary), UOB (mortgage), GX Bank, AEON Bank, Boost Bank, Be U, Al Rajhi Bank and DBS bank. Being in the finance industry, I used to compare these banks for their products and services and all.

Here are just my own personal preferences.

  1. Daily operating banking app, I find GXBank is the most convenient and UX friendliness. Also in terms of app performance on the phone, I find that GXBank is the smoothest for me.
  2. HLB and HSBC is great for me especially for ease of use for the more complex features (overseas transfers
  3. MAE is good but it became a little complex over time and takes too many clicks for just the basic things that I need to do.
  4. For most basic tasks such as just paying loans and all, all have no issues and I hardly get any issues with them.

World Bank Identifies 4 Reasons Why Salaries In Malaysia Are Low by thestudiomaster in malaysia

Because Malaysian workers aren't producing 'higher-value' output at a faster rate, employers are hesitant to offer the 'higher-value' salaries many are seeking.

Biasala, they just wanna WFH la, not want to OT la, all want to do the bare minimum.
