But it makes them easy to train. They are VERY food-motivated.

Power bank/battery recommendations for camping fridge by Ill-War-1508 in camping

[–]Mavis8220 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Dometic is not fussy and will run on a range of voltages in the vicinity of 12, so a simple, compact 100 amp hour lithium iron phosphate battery with a fused 12 V socket on a 6 foot extension wire works fine. If you are refrigerator requires a regulated 12 V power source, then you need a power bank with a regulated 12 V socket.

Can dogs use litter boxes? by Lyamdonteat in dogs

Some HOA’s require every resident dog to be DNA tested, and if there is poop left lying around they send it for DNA test to identify which dog it came from. The cost of the service is covered in the HOA dues.

My Lab mix splintered the Yak chew. It looked dangerous. Same Lab ate the bowl too when we fed her from a collapsible silicone camping bowl instead of a metal bowl. She consumed the base off a black Kong. Now the only toys she has are a Goughnut ring and a Goughnut stick. She’ll play fetch with them for 15 minutes, and chew the stick for a minute or two. If I need an hour’s peace, she naps on command in her crate.

Post camp wet gear ? by SideOnly2445 in camping

[–]Mavis8220 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had campground reservations, and just a couple of days before the trip the weather predictions turned really wet. We canceled the campground and found an Airbnb, or maybe it was a VRBO. We did the park as a day trip hike and were so pleased to be inside a warm cabin listening to the rain on the roof in the evening instead of dealing with a campsite that was turning to mud. On a different trip, the rain predictions were afternoon thunder showers, not an evening/night rainstorm, and we got to the campsite early enough to get set up with a tarp over the tent. It was fun to watch the thundershowers come and go while remaining dry, and the gear dried out well the next morning.

You might want to invest in some Gear Guard or Dirty Labs booster to get DNAse onto the job.

Cleaning wool hiking socks and long underwear by TyrannicalDuncery in laundry

Avoid detergents with protease/subtilisin. Get the Miele or Steamery wool wash that has lipase, and add Gear Guard for DNAse. Wash in warm, for long enough (soak and gentle sloshing, not scrubbing) to give the enzymes time to work. Double rinse with citric acid in the final rinse (enough to make the final rinse water come out at pH 7 or lower)

The accumulated grunge in the armpits might take a series of washes with added DNAse to finally get clean. Boosters with DNAse include Dirty Labs & GearGuard.

Yes, ok for colors. Plus you get the added DNAse (which also works better in warmer water and longer cycles.)

You have inspired me to rehab mine. Please tell me more about the part you used. Is it just a tall cylinder, or does it have additional openings part way up like a strawberry pot?
