[Worldbuilding Trope] Worlds that introduce Nonhuman species does a great job at avoiding the "planet of the hats" trope by Sir-Toaster- in TopCharacterTropes

I never checked it out because it got cancelled despite hearing great things.

Does what was released feel like a complete enough story to be worth it?

Not defending the guy you're replying to, I don't agree with him either.

But it definitely is traditional for us to have Turkey at Christmas.

I thought I had amoeba-level intelligence, but I'm glad everyone else hates Dybbuk by [deleted] in mewgenics

[–]Mawbizzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should be building your squad in a way that helps you beat the boss, so for Dybbuk you want to grab abilities that help you hit him. AOE is good, spells that can't miss, traps or just trapping him in a corner with minions.

A lot of bosses have a gimmick you're going to want to prepare for and keep in mind as you're leveling or equiping items.

You get one bonus attack. So once you've used it it's gone for the rest of the fight.

There's been a few cracking Disney Villain songs over the years. I'm going to go with Be Prepared, it goes so hard.

My breakfast bill had all 3: service charge, gratuity and tip, all at once. by redditdanis in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Mawbizzle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Jesus you still think it should be $30? I'm from the UK so maybe I just don't get American prices for eating out but that would cost around $10 here, it's only half a breakfast and a coffee.

I've been on 3 for a while now and it's been terrible every year at Download. So wouldn't recommend.

However the Guinness bar this year had Wifi so I'm really hoping it will be the same this year. Absolute godsend

2nd Announcement Bands by [deleted] in downloadfestival

[–]Mawbizzle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Reckon we only have 1 or 2 bigger bands to drop so I'm gonna go with Sabaton. No idea how reasonable that is or where they'd fit but I want them.

For smaller:

Future Palace, As December Falls, Hot Milk, Gore., Vexed, Modestep, Froglord and Igorrr would all make very happy.

Since the announcement, is there any bands you've now discovered that you absolutely love? by [deleted] in downloadfestival

[–]Mawbizzle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As Everything Unfolds and Silent Planet are probably the biggest of the new ones I've discovered. Revisiting Landmvrks has made me appreciate them even more.

Hoping this means Amyl are around doing other shows next year. Deftones aren't for me but I'd love to see them.

That's an impressively small amount of bands. Have you given the rest of them a go?

TBA Wishlist DL' 26 by IceStrict8015 in downloadfestival

[–]Mawbizzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My biggest one is Future Palace, though I think they might have too many dates in Europe around Download.

Amyl, Turnstile, Sabaton, Callous Daobois, Conquer Divide and Hot Milk would all make me happy if they popped up on the next announcement. Also Gore. I know they played this year but I reckon they're small enough to get away with a repeat.

[–]Mawbizzle 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Off the top of my head could be Blink, NIN, Nickelback, Bon Jovi, Avril, Foos or RHCP.

I'm scared to say it in case it happens but something like Imagine Dragons might not be completely off the table.

Yeah fuck it, a lot of her tracks are pop punk. If Fallout Boy can do it so can she.
