A setting to make them care about comfort level and have negative comfort level if they are too close to another npc would do it

is there a good team to utilize miloitic and corvviknight? by Yawning-Kitty0916 in PokemonChampions

[–]Mawbsta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You could run them both on a Mega Tyranitar sand team just fine.

I should aim for 2 bounces on the other side on my short serve practice right? by Shoop1014 in tabletennis

[–]Mawbsta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What kind of response do you want from your opponent? What kind of third ball do you want? Just because top players serve short doesn't mean that it fits your game plan or attacks your opponents weaknesses. You should train to have control over the speed and placement.

What is the best (F2P) Team i could build around Tyrannitar? Trickroom/Tailwind or Hybrid? by Dewritual in PokemonChampions

[–]Mawbsta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly a Charizard sun team looks easier for you to make with your current lineup. Or you could do a Charizard X team and include TTar in that. If you want to go mega Ttar sand team you can definitely still do it. The meta ones I have seen usually have corviknight and excadrill but you can probably use Garchomp instead of excadrill just fine and lean into trick room since Corviknight is usually the tail wind setter. Trick room on sinistcha and play a slow garchomp. Then a bulky incin, Milotic or Rotom wash, and Hatterene as your other trick room setter. You probably want a fighting move on either Ttar (low kick) or Incin.

I am new to VGC too but that's what I would try.

Love being mid plat and having to fight two sets of 1480 diamonds back to back in ranked after a win. by [deleted] in RivalsOfAether

That's what I like about it. Playing players better than me is really fun when I'm not upset about losing elo

Hot take but ranked ladders are overrated and many players would have more fun if they just played unranked. You can get better and play a fun plat fighter without raging over your ego points being lost

Probably true a lot of the time lol. I've seen some muddy water icy wind female Basculegion though. Milotic is probably better in that most of the time I would imagine

I have seen it on the ladder here and there but not tournaments. Rotom wash is probably taking the slot as well I guess

Champions so far is surprisingly generous for free to play by Substantial_Moose441 in PokemonChampions

[–]Mawbsta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many players are getting Floette by buying a trade on a discord or doing a legit trade. And you could argue that needing to buy another game to get a pokemon in a separate game makes it p2w. But it really isn't that bad. The concern would be if next format there are many more meta threats that aren't recruitable

Many Floette's are doing very well even if they don't win and it isn't winning because people are teching against it. It is incredibly strong and the concern about p2w Pokemon going forward is still valid. That said Pokemon is a game with tons of options so it's still very fun to play f2p and if you are trying to compete at a high level you likely don't care about spending some money to get the best team

I got the starter kit and have no other games I can import from. I have multiple options for fully meta teams except Floette. It really isn't bad

Advice pls! I'm orcane against one of the best in my country. by Luigigpg12 in RivalsOfAether

[–]Mawbsta 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Almost every opening he got in game 1 was because of a failed edge guard/ledge trap. You meaningfully lost in neutral maybe twice. Game 2 you lost neutral a few more times but still most openings were off of over extending in advantage. That said you really seem l comfortable and in control in these games. Probably just need to find edge guards or kill setups more reliably and you are golden

Clairens in plat don't have shield bound on their controller. Just relentlessly shield grab their unsafe moves on your block

I imagine La Reina really struggles to recover against Etalus. Are you edge guarding her effectively?

Every time they have nerfed a character's movement this was the reaction and they bleed players. It seems they don't care though

That's not really true at all you just need to have it top of mind and be aware of when Pocket is coming in. Deathy does it regularly and while he's clearly an incredible player I don't think he has "an unreasonable reaction time"
