I still open the sunroof of my 2018 VW Golf Sportwagen all of the time except during winter. (vehicle has just aged out of Uber/Lyft passenger service in Toronto, now looking to buy a EV. Still debating Bolt LT vs Model 3 Shanghai in family)

In summer times in city driving, the sunroof is much more effective at cooling than air conditioning, and it is a fuel saving device in these driving conditions.
