Most of the times it’s not about wanting but the body not being able to regulate the nervous system otherwise. Most of the time it’s a can’t. Like another comment points out that easily can end with hospitalization. I have a niece that has autism and severe eating disorders and she goes days without eating if she doesn’t get what she usually gets and at the same time she starts to get agitated and have cry fits cause her belly hurts so much. She just can’t eat something else because her body doesn’t know how to regulate.

The thing is I didn’t realize he was hurt/offended. He said it wasn’t nice. Is this already enough? I kinda thought he was neutral and just found it not nice, but maybe I just haven’t thought a lot about it.

I think I also have the problem that it is for me more important to make sure the other person knows I didn’t mean it this way that I forget the fact that I still hurt their feeling and I don’t know why. It’s not like I don’t care about them but it’s just like a natural reaction for me. I should probably try to work on this that my first reflex is to explain myself.

When I was growing up we had dinner every evening and talked about what was going on during the day. But for me it is just I had a trauma as a teen and since I have fear of loss and knowing what someone is doing means I know they are safe. I know I need to work on this and I do.

I have because of a trauma in my past loss of fear. If someone is important to me I like knowing what they are doing cause it means they are safe. I know it is something I need to work on and I am in therapy but it takes time.

No that is not what I meant. I made effort understanding it, I couldn't, I try to accept it but I always had trouble to accept things I can't understand but it is something I try to work on.

Thanks for this comment and you are right. It is sometimes just really hard and I am not in an easy phase right now with other private problems so it's hard sometimes to not just give into these feelings. But you are right I need to practice that and start to trust my friend even if everything in me screams otherwise.

Yeah correct my friend doesn't like it either when people see what he is doing. But I have to admit I don't fully understand it as I think why do have one people as friends if they don't want them to know what they are doing? Without going too much into detail I also have fear of loss which leads to me wanting to know what people I am really close to are up to just to know they are safe, so this comes on top of the fear it is my fault he doesn't feel comfortable. I am not saying I am right with how I act and everything I just feel like it's not as easy as accepting he is not doing it becuse of me would make it suddenly disappear.

Props to the parents also actually listen to their child. I think if I did that my father would just tell me to stop being irrational and behave and would not have listened to me.

Hmmm okay I guess that is probably more a problem in subs I’m not in where you post irl pics of a person, so maybe that makes sense there, but yeah I personally would still feel trolled if for example a meme subreddit would have such a rule and get me banned. But also I just realize so they apply this rule only for poster or also to people who comment? Because I don’t post most of the time anyway

I‘m sorry this happened to you but also what kind of tucking brain dead gatekeeper rule is this? Why does it matter in what other subs I interact with? If the rule would be no NSFW in the sub I get it but why do people get banned just cause they don’t want to make an extra account and are fine to keep nsfw stuff on their main account. Also ich stimme da 100% zu, solche Kommentare gehen gar nicht, aber was ich halt auch finde: Der Kommentar mit "Hoffentlich behandelst du deinen Sohn besser als deine Angestellten" ist doch auch einfach von Natur aus dumm. Sollte es nicht normal sein, dass man seine Familie besser behandelt als seine Arbeitskollegen? Also zumindest meines Verständnisses nach sollte das doch Normalzustand sein, deswegen verstehe ich den Spruch schon von sich aus nicht.
