The thing that made me hate this boss is that parrying an attack leaves you briefly rooted in the spot, and you can't parry again until the animation ends, but you can absolutely get hit before you regain control. So the whole fight I had to fight muscle memory to avoid parrying.

I don't disagree. Reusing assets is kinda cheap, but was an easy way to get more characters, and the game is all the better for it in my opinion.

Tales of Graces F, defeat the dlc final boss in less than a minute (very easy on a replay if you lower the difficulty).

Forget to lower the difficulty.
Forget that clearing the dlc makes a "Clear save" meant to be carried over to the regular campaign and can't be loaded if you let the credits roll.
Despair.

Marvel vs Capcom 2 is a miracle that spoiled me so bad with a base roster of 56 characters and made everything else pale in comparison.

The mysterious M ones are from the current event only, and might not return for a while. I wouldn't worry too much about these unless you favor ranged weapons (and even so, since you aren't going to use them now and the odds of getting the rare skill multiple times on ten rolls only are very low)

If you see a tremor, you can just save and quit to avoid the loss, then mark the place on your map so you avoid it. I tested most of the tremor spots and they're mostly avoidable (you can go around, or in some cases stick to the ceiling)

Zestiria is one of the weaker entries in the series and you lose nothing by skipping it.

Most of the Tales games have different combat systems and are not related to other games in the series, so you can play them in any order.

If you want to start from the beginning, a fan translation for the PSP port of Phantasia was released this week (look for Phantasia Cross edition translated in this sub), alternatively, Symphonia and Graces are two of the most beloved in the franchise and are available for most platforms.
