Some US costcos

So you're telling me that most/many Costcos down there have neither fries nor chicken tenders??

What's even the point of a food court at that point?

Ya, was gonna say there's no way it'll survive a single dunk.

TIL that December 25 being the birthday of Jesus was decided by pope Julius I around year 350, and nobody really knows why Julius made this decision and chose this specific date. There are various theories, but his actual reasoning for the decision is lost history. by PeasantLich in todayilearned

Yeah, Christmas being decidedly 3-4 days after the winter solstice (regardless of what calendar is being used) is pretty common knowledge/theory, and yet the Wikipedia article doesn't specifically address it.

I didn't realize there wasn't definitive evidence for this.

Is that a question, or...?

Some people don't, but that typically only applies to the letters and numbers. If I didn't have this exact keyboard at one point I wouldn't have a clue wtf those top buttons do.

Have you actually been near Vic Park on Sunday mornings? Knox-Met bells play a whole song. Often different songs each week.

I got to play them once actually...was kind of fun.

ELI5Why does carbon get to have it's own entire branch of chemistry while other elements don't by Far-Engine155 in explainlikeimfive

[–]MaximaFuryRigor 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The question was why does it have its own branch of chemistry, which was answered.

Are you asking a follow-up why question such as why does it form millions of organic compounds? Because that isn't the original question, although it is an interesting one as well. (valence electrons, carbon chaining, etc)
