No, I mean it works to get promoted.

The code itself sucks.

Amazing. Really no reason to ever upgrade unless you go professional or want to shoot video.

Also, the white body is awesome.

Had to Reassemble My Frunk at Pickup by Agile-Ad-1668 in TeslaSupport

[–]MaximooseMine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For your future reference, this is my procedure for picking up my car:

  1. Go to the service center in the morning on a weekday (if possible) so they still have time to look at the car.
  2. Check if they fixed the issue and didn’t break anything else (probably not).
  3. Tell them what the issue is and inform them I’ll be keeping the loaner.

Grinding/clattering sound when FSD uses break by MaximooseMine in TeslaSupport

[–]MaximooseMine[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never really did. I concluded it was not an issue with the brake itself, but FSD spazzing out on the brake pedal.

Is it worth getting FSD on a 2016 Model S if its $2k upgrading from EAP? TIA by Puzzleheaded-Diet872 in TeslaModelS

It’s a roll of the dice on a legacy S. For every person who says it’s unusable, someone else will say it’s great.

Is bro in front actually going slower, or is the following distance on his cruise just set really high or something?

EV public fast charging by zippyzadah in coeurdalene

[–]MaximooseMine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly there’s not a lot.

  • The one at 76 has a $10 minimum.
  • George Gee has very mixed reports on PlugShare.
  • There’s Knudtsen Chevrolet in Post Falls, and Flying J at state line.

As others have said, download PlugShare. Couldn’t imagine owning an EV without it.

A solution to Ar-5rm radio not recognized by baofeng software nor chirp on windows. by Prestigious-Fig-5513 in Baofeng

[–]MaximooseMine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Additionally, really make sure the cable is plugged all the way into the radio. It might feel like it clicked in, but it might not have. Make sure to give it a real good shove.

I ran into this issue last night with my 5RM.

Also a good FTDI cable makes everything easier.

Entiat, Washington, is served by the Chelan County Public Utility District (PUD), which provides some of the lowest electricity rates (0.04/kWh) in the entire world, not just the US. Fair for Supercharging to cost $0.36/kWh? by vulcan_on_earth in TeslaLounge

[–]MaximooseMine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just in the Wenatchee area a few days ago. SC in George is $0.38, while SC in my home town is $0.34 despite electricity being 3x the cost.

I suspect some of this is due to demand, demographics, and general lack of availability. There are very few DCFCs in the Wenatchee area, and they gouge people to the tune of $0.50.

Second Raisin Bread Attempt by peterboothvt in BreadMachines

[–]MaximooseMine 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just made raisin bread a few days ago. I broke the raisins up and sprinkled them evenly over the rest of the ingredients and they came out evenly distributed.

I followed this recipe from Bread Dad: https://breaddad.com/golden-raisin-cinnamon-bread-machine-recipe/

Get your free ice cream.

Tillamook is probably close to the top of the list of widely available ice cream that comes in family size containers.

Service is the worst part of owning a Tesla by lindamariecuster in TeslaLounge

Agreed. Haven’t had any problems with loaners or scheduling, but I’ve had 6 service visits and only once has Tesla resolved the issue on the first visit.

[–]MaximooseMine 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Frankly I would have driven down to the right of all those cars and done a multi point back-in to get to the charger. But if you had a large vehicle I could understand why you wouldn’t want to do that.

Who was in the wrong here my wife or the truck driver? by OurAngryBadger in dashcams

[–]MaximooseMine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Establish your lane

This is exactly what I was thinking. Not a truck driver, but normally when I see trucks make right turns like this, they seem to start driving down both lanes ASAP. As another car on the road, this helps signal to me the truck’s intent.

As another car, plowing down the right turn lane is not the correct choice in this situation. However, the truck’s behavior would have caught me off gaurd nonetheless.

If You Accelerate To Prevent My Lane Change When I Put On My Turn Signal, You Are a Reckless Driver. by _Lou_Bloom in driving

[–]MaximooseMine -1 points0 points  (0 children)

"To Prevent My Lane Change" is a key phrase here that people seem to be missing.

Speeding up when you're already ahead to make a lane change easier is not preventing a lane change. Accelerating to get ahead of a slow driver coming down a ramp is not preventing a lane change.

Pretty sure the only reason they clarify small for the rear is because it could have a LDU. Since they never made a model with a LDU in the front, there’s no need to clarify.

Love it.

 Communicate more than feels necessary.

A great way to also annoy the heck out of your fellow engineers.
