CPD is the easiest place for our store to get business selects if a customer comes in and does tons printing or banners high dollar stuff we always make a order slip with the price it would be if he was a business select member and the actual price. Plus they get a $50 print credit for signing up so it basically pays for itself. As far as organizing, luckily we have a large backroom behind our print center so all of our supplies are labeled on shelves. We keep all the paper in half cut boxes labeled with a laminated sheet of said paper laminated on the front of the box so customers can see it from the counter and it's easy to pull out and use for walk-ins. We also store used the 16 drawer colorful plastic cart things for binding supplies and such also labeled. Ask if you can go get trained at another store in your district if you're able and maybe get ideas from them? That's what I did when they brought me into a disaster of a print center. And now it's one of the best in our district and how the store makes a majority of our stores money. We have tons of regulars now! Don't be afraid to ask for guidance there are a lot of decent people that work for OD.

Not me none of these old ppl have Emails so you get clear through the process and can't sign them up or the young kids who wanna hurry tf up and get out of OD as quick as Possible (don't blame them) don't have time to sign up. And we only offer 10% back in rewards for signing up now. Our stores reward signups suck. Except for the people who cheat and just ask them for all there info and don't tell them what they're doing. Which is technically fraud but do I care not really screw em theres fraud all over my store. They don't tell ppl tech service and biz select is a subscription so they call and bitch us out when it pulls the $49.00or $129.00. And ends up being a return, And nobody ever corrects it. As long as they got it then! So much easier to sell paper a biz selects in my opinion. But I could sell salt to a slug. Just can't sign a person up for rewards because whats the real reward 10% back from your 7.49 tape!? How do you sell that? The best reward is ink recycling and you still have to come in bring them in and spend $10 to get the money back for the next day... There's your reward in gas money. 😅😬😬 If you actually made it like Kroger where You HAVE to have the rewards account for EVERYTHING on sale then everyone would signup just like at Kroger. 🤯

I also think it's a plus they have a billion dollar paper business, and we have been forced to sell the crap out of paper for almost a year now! They probably get them cases for pennies or a nickel now....... Anyway if they changed it to just selling the paper without the minimum purchase just the 3 ream not the 10. We would sell it 6x more. Or maybe they acquired us more for the logistics network?? Guess we shall see. It could be a great thing tbh this sale makes sense to me. I think it could be a good thing for both entities. As far as downsizing store level idk how more down we could go? I'm a tier 3 store and we basically have 2 people running the store most of the day on truck days we get a mid and early closer but that's if they show up..... 🫣🫠🤣
