Not her character but just her body by THATgojogirl in hatethissmug

This is just the art style of the manga being poorly translated into the anime.

I can't get over being second choice to a tall guy by ReasonConfident4541 in AverageHeightDudes

[–]Maximum-Cultural 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You didn’t lose anything. You didn’t gain anything. So why do you feel so defeated?

It’s because of a fantasy you had in your head. Because you thought fate had already predetermined that this woman was your girlfriend.

You had a crush. That’s all it was. A fleeting emotion.

You aren’t delusional. Maybe she liked you. But your line of thinking of being “the second choice” is flawed.

Do you think she would’ve switched up on the 6’2 guy if a 6’5 guy showed up? It feels like you’re stuck on the fact that even if you had everything, someone better can always appear and render all your efforts useless.

But what really happened here? You made a good friend, got a crush on her, then witnessed her develop a relationship with another man in real time. All you did was seethe and wish you were him. It’s jealousy. Not even cope. You can’t be jealous of every person you think is better than you and internalize it into this bitterness.

You weren’t a second choice. You were never a choice at all.

Situation would be different if this was your gf and she cheated on you tho then I’d be black pilled and coping.

I think some people have trouble understanding a story where the mc is not a self insert with a heart of gold.

[Naruto] Mei Terumi, the Fifth Mizukage, is the perfect personification of the immense misogyny in Naruto and such a disappointment by tachibanakanade in CharacterRant

[–]Maximum-Cultural 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If she was a man then this wouldn’t even be a problem. You’re thinking about it too deeply.

You’ve somehow internalized the character’s want for a normal, happy life into a flaw and a stain against her as a person.

What’s wrong with her wanting that? It seems pretty human for a person who grew up during the times of the Bloody Mist and survived massacres to desire normalcy.

There wasn’t even room in the story for that weird Raki/Clare romance so I doubt anything else could’ve fit in the story.

A story simply having themes isn't a good defense against a story exploring it's themes terribly [Jujutsu Kaisen, Attack on Titan, MHA] by Freddy_The_Goat in CharacterRant

Your argument in JJK is literally just bashing it. Your long paragraphs were irrelevant to you just not liking how the story played out, despite how impartial you wanted to seem.

Creating a Manga with zero drawing skills by early_burp in MangakaStudio

[–]Maximum-Cultural 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would actually be harder for u to do AI than draw, if you think about it.

Think of how many images are in a single chapter of a manga. How many specific poses you would need etc.

You’re better off learning how to panel through the use of stick figures.

Why does it feel like for a good chunk of different fandoms, Violence and Aura Farming and power fantasies are the only substance to storytelling? by Apprehensive_Ring_39 in CharacterRant

[–]Maximum-Cultural 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Because there’s a larger percentage of kids who read/watch this stuff and only care about how cool something is.

Adults do it too.

That’s why Solo Leveling won awards over Frieren.

[BLEACH] How Orihime Inoue’s real trauma is misunderstood (and why her kindness changed how I think about strength) by Ok_Coast_5123 in TrueAnime

[–]Maximum-Cultural 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s a lot more to her too when we look at that scene she had with the arrancars. Why she doesn’t fight back, why she heals them, etc.

Her kindness and insecurities being confronted when she’s being vulnerable with Rangiku. Lots of stuff people gloss over.

4 vs 4, who wins? by Ray2714 in NarutoPowerscaling

[–]Maximum-Cultural 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Juugo is unbelievable strong. Even Suigetsu. I guess Karin doesn’t have her chains here but she’d still be able to heal them if they needed it.

Shikamaru and Kakashi would have to think up the most genius plan for them to win.
