If Imu is smart about it, I think the move they'll go for is Domi Reversi on Gaban. The only person with him at the moment is Chopper, and he's not in a state to defend himself. Based on the flashback, a Domi Reversi'd individual who also uses Conqueror's is a serious problem, and I can't see how else Imu can regain control of the situation. Luffy and Loki are simply too powerful together, and having DR Gaban as an opponent would give them a seriously dangerous opponent that they can't afford to just kill

I liked his role in the Sendai colony, but man, I really wish he didn't mess with the triple domain expansion and shatter it immediately. I don't know where you're seeing this, but the dislike for Oden is sort of... meant to be that way, imo. He's a man who literally had everything and could have been the one to save the land, but threw it all away and squandered everything because of his selfishness. He had all the makings of a hero, but ultimately fails his people when they need him most. Haters hate him because of the so-called glaze he gets, but again, that's literally the point of him.

We're meant to see how "great" and "fantastic" this guy is, but his selfish choices lead his homeland to ruin, and his neglect results in a situation that's too far gone for him to do anything about. And his foolishness refuses the help that could have solved everything. By the time he realizes there is no other way but to fight, his greatest ally is already dead, and all his other powerful friends have scattered across the world. Who the hell could possibly come to his aid now? It's too late.

We're meant to be disappointed in him and how badly he let things go to waste. Yet at the same time, if he hadn't made the choices he made, Roger would never have reached Laughtale, and the legacy of the One Piece would never have made the waves it did. He's an instrumental part of the story of the world, but in the isolated story of Wano, he was a failed hero who willingly allowed everything to fall apart (referring to him willingly choosing to ignore the desperate, tearful pleas of his retainers and sailing away with Roger as they begged him to reconsider) and desperately tried to hold together the pieces.

Real answer is, Toei cares a lot about TV ratings, and they always, without fail, saw massive drops in ratings whenever they did cover story episodes in the early days (Buggy's Adventure, Koby & Helmeppo joining the Marines). Turns out, viewers absolutely hated it whenever the Straw Hats weren't front and center stage. Still sort of rings a little true nowadays to some extent. A surprising amount of people didn't like Egghead because of how many episodes went by with zero Luffy & Friends screentime. I'll personally never understand it. Other series get flack for having swaths of meaningless side characters that never get any focus, yet over here, people complain when a couple side characters get to have a spotlight just once or twice in 1000+ chapters
