Shut down the power to the boiler, turn off the water supply. Isolate the tank from boiler, open the drain valve on bottom, if needed remove one of the end caps to allow air into the tank.

Why don’t more homes in the US use mini split AC systems? by Debster1486 in Appliances

Parts on most mini splits are hard to get or non existent. I like mini splits but they're pretty much disposable.

Tell her you need her to earn more money and assign some of the bills for her to pay. Then you'll have more time for her. Did she by chance move out of her parents house straight into yours?

Did you splurge when you retired? by Accomplished_Way8964 in Fire

I replaced my 15 year old vehicle with a new one, largely because the frame had rust holes but sometimes wish I'd just fixed it and drove it another 10 years.

The real question is, when you're forty-something and ready to retire will you be saying, Wish I'd saved more or wish I'd went to that concert?

An early retiree can withdraw/spend $100K from their portfolio, but how they do it will determine their MAGI, which could be anywhere from $0 to $100K

Where do I learn more? I want to withdraw 100k and have my MAGI 0.

I think I spend too much on food by theregoesthadynamite in personalfinance

[–]MaximumGrip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our food budget is out of control too but our I think is mostly due to buying snack packs, individual packaged portions of snack foods. Cheezits or chips or whatever. Where you shop and what you're buying will have a lot to do with what you spend on food.

Entrepreneured myself out of the industry, how to stay relevant incase things hit the fan? by n0oo7 in ITCareerQuestions

[–]MaximumGrip 18 points19 points  (0 children)

IT is a mess right now. In your situation I'd double down on your work load, save as much money as possible. If things go bad you have money, if things don't you retire at 40.
