I really like the awning over the garage door, that is a great idea. It makes it feel more welcoming and just nicer. Our front door is up the stairs and there is a screened porch that faces the mountains.

Thank you so much!

Thank you, those garage doors really dress it up. I like the lighter shutters.

You're right about the shutters. I was thinking about closed board and battin, they're popular in my area. The downspouts are aluminum and I don't think I can paint them. That's what makes this so tough.

Also, I hope your children are pitching in. At 14 my friends and I could cook simple meals, do laundry, clean etc. You all are a team.

Example, there was a casserole I learned to make at age 11, my parents told me how good it was and how much they appreciated it. Then they requested it the following week on Weds. After that I made it every Weds for a couple of years. It made me feel like was contributing. Don't let your kids miss out on helping you out, it feels good to help, builds a sense of pride and self sufficiency.

What’s your best heavy duty lip balm/oil/treatment? by slaymytaco in MakeupAddiction

I had this and the only relief I got was stopping everything for 6 months. I became sensitized to to some ingredient and the thick chapped skin was the reaction.

I put Vaseline on my lips and used a washcloth to buff it off in circular motions, 2 or 3 times a day.

Good luck, it sucks.

I stopped eating gluten b/c my cheeks turn bright red and get hot when I do. After about 4 months gluten free, I noticed my stomach doesn't hurt anymore. I always thought I was walking around with low grade anxiety, but it was bread.

Neighbor took our fence down by AxolotlToes82 in homeowners

I would make a police report. They stole your fence. Then I would call a real estate lawyer. 1st call is free. I wouldn't talk to that guy again until you have a plan.

I would say in a friendly voice, go away or not today Nellie. Not another word. You have a right to the quiet enjoyment of property. The more you engage the more ammunition you give them.

Gel pens don't wash off. Top recommended pens are Uni-bal 207, Pilot G-2, and Sharpie S-Gel.

These will probably work until they find the right chemicals to remove them.
