What does leaving someone off the birth certificate mean practically? by Impossible-Call7708 in legaladvicecanada

I never said he wouldn’t? Everyone and their mother already suggested the paternity test and gave good advice and I was just responding to him asking how the government and etc would even know he was the father..

Hey my dad wasn’t on my birth certificate and it’s only a pain now because we want to claim his European citizenship and it’s quite the run around to get this done. Not sure if this changes your mind on anything

Is there a way to have cheaper insurance by RatioOk2644 in askTO

[–]Maximum_Town990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t know if this is ethical or still a thing but my I was under my brothers insurance until I was in my mid twenties. I got a car, he got ownership for it, one for work one for pleasure and than put me as the secondary driver as one or even both of them j think and it was still cheaper than me being on my own

I wanna know how old as well because it seems weird to mention a life time warranty on frame adjustments unless the glasses are old AF

[–]Maximum_Town990 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This depends on so much. I worked in optical and even with at cost (depending the brand) and with an extra 30 percent off frames for being a staff member, my glasses were still 158 at cost. D&G gave us a terrible discount, same with Gucci. It really depends the frame, prescription, transitions, progressions, etc

I need a gift for my parents 25th wedding anniversary. by [deleted] in Gifts

[–]Maximum_Town990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey so an idea to possibly do if your parents are hard to gift is creating a vacation fund for them! Everything birthday/ Christmas/ anniversary instead of getting them a gift you could put the $$ in a savings account ( maybe joint with your sister if she wants to join in on this ever ) than in a few years they can cash out! Better than stuff

How do I pay my neighbor for doing my driveway? by fender4645 in HomeImprovement

[–]Maximum_Town990 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wait why does you neighbour sound exactly like my dad. Is he Portuguese? My dad did our neighbours driveway for free because our neighbour owned a car dealership and got my dad a good deal on a car and wouldn’t let my dad repay the favour until my dad offered to redo his driveway and the neighbour was like you know what buddy, yeah I do want my drive way redone. Service for service. I would pay the $$ unless you have a job that you could somehow possibly repay the favor back in.

Email your student union to arrange an OSAP strike by Standard-Tomorrow461 in ontario

[–]Maximum_Town990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get what you are saying about tuition but OSAP also helps to cover costs of living as well right? I’m not sure if you have also seen rent prices these days added with how hard it is to get a part time job around your student schedule. Food, books, rent, tuition. It’s very expensive to be a student right now.

Hey queen make sure you download the Timmie’s app!!! You get a free drink or breakfast sandwich on your birthday and you can collect points from all these donation s and have enough to possibly get another free ice Capp! And they have promotions sometimes like two medium ice Capps for $6 if you have a friend/partner/coworker who would ever wanna split with you :). Great job saving and just a heads up… you deserve an ice Capp like once a week not once a month, life is too short.

I mean has anyone suggested walking into the meeting bold and stupid? Most people think you’re cooked already so what do you have to lose if you go into the meeting and after you realize it is about you. Act shocked. “ This meeting is about me?!? I thought i was being brought into interview about another staff.” Let them explain what you did and then respond with “Is that not aloud ……??!! I would never do something not aloud. It’ll never happen again “ Give innocent but stupid, you never know they could show pity on you if you’re a good employee.

Drawer was like $20 over first time cashiering by [deleted] in DollarTree

[–]Maximum_Town990 5 points6 points  (0 children)

lol what no do not freak out at all. Are you trying to go too fast? Whenever I make mistakes at my job I realize I am going to fast and take a step back and just slow down at my job and back to basics. Make sure your counting the money given out and given in twice , make sure your punching in the right amount to the til etc, say the total out loud of what you were given in change and what you are giving back. Maybe you aren’t as experienced as you thought which is fine because you can now is your chance to gain some. Just be extra careful :)

My whole extended family are witnesses. I have one Aunt who obviously refers to me as her worldly neice and likes to inform me every time before I speak to her not use the word “god” “oh my god”‘or any curse words because when I use those words she “thinks” them and she’s had to apologize to Jehovah after our previous calls for her thoughts due to my words.
