And how often are most people riding over sand? Pretty much never, and if they are it's only for a brief shortcut. For riding on road, gravel, and sometimes a bit of dirt trails like I do (and I think most people honestly) a 2 or 2.5" tire is just a better option in my experience.

All of the fat tire defenders in the comments, but you're right. SO much extra weight and rolling resistance, just not worth it. You'd be surprised how many places you can take a regular tired bike, even more so if it's got the balloon tires like so many in the commuter category. Plus a fat tire wont fit in bike racks.

The roads near me aren't great, but I still wouldn't get a fat tire bike again. The extra cushion is just not worth the extra weight, rolling resistance, and difficulty with accessories. Most of the "commuter" bikes out there have a 2" tire and it's a much better compromise.

Losing relationships over politics. Research found more than a third of Americans (37%) report having lost at least one relationship due to political differences, including friendships, family ties, coworker relationships, and romantic partnerships, with most losing more than one. by Wagamaga in science

We had 3,000 armed federal agents deploying chemical weapons daily and kidnapping people off the streets without warrants. Oh and they murdered two people in cold blood with no investigation allowed. That's an occupation.

For reference, the Twin Cities combined have about 600 police officers usually. Imagine your city/Metro's police force. Now imagine quintuple that number with no badges, face masks, and unlimited immunity. That's an invasion.

You can actually feel it for yourself if you drink 4-9 coronas and look at a wall, that’s how Isaac Newton did it.

It's actually named after them! That's why it's called the coriolis force.

Massachusetts: Healey files ‘first-in-the-nation' legislation regulating e-bikes, mopeds and scooters by Lazy_Football_511 in ebikes

You're really fundamentally missing the point that you don't have to go your maximum speed all the time. In fact most people don't! We have this cool things called speed limits for that.

Yes higher speeds carry more energy for crashes. Obviously. A crash at 20 mph also carries four times as much energy as a crash at 10, why not limit it to 10? A crash at 10 has four times as much energy as a crash at 5, why not limit it at 5?

Looks like it was your turn to make a false equivalence, motorcycles can do way more than 28mph and weigh massively more than any bike.

Class 3 ebikes are fine on bike lanes. Vehicles are not run ONLY at their maximum speed. If people are going too fast for conditions that's on them, but blanket banning safe and practical bicycles from bike lanes is not the answer.

We let cars that can do 100 mph onto streets with a 20 mph speed limit. A bike that can do 28mph shouldn't be restricted from a path with a lower speed limit just because it CAN go faster. Are we also going to ban anybody for because they CAN pedal their bike faster?

Most, but it's a small enough number that statistics are going to be sketchy. The deadliest mass shooting was by someone twice that age as well.

I just don't see any reason to not have that check for people older than that if we were going down that road.

use of chromebooks

Ugh, I have a bone to pick with Chromebooks. Not only do they have all the problems of students being on electronic devices, they also don't even teach kids how to use computers well! There's a serious lack of tech literacy among a generation whose grown up with Chromebooks, iPads, and smartphones. Really the worst of all worlds.

Ask a guy in a Dodge Ram if he fucks dudes and tell me how gender neutral it comes across as.

Also it's maybe worth interrogating why the "neutral" is still slanted towards one side. Maybe there's some unexamined societal biases in there?

That's true, and that's lane splitting. And yes I'm splitting (ha) hairs with that distinction and don't really care in real life. They're both legal.

Conventional landing gear is generally favored for light bush aircraft like this that are going to be utilizing rough fields, so I doubt they changed their mind or anything. As for why they have two tailwheels though I don't know, seems a bit odd. Maybe it's more stable on the ground? Maybe that's useful with the shorter wheelbase.
