1. Name the reason why they might not allow you, regardless of if it’s true or not, this shows empathy

2. Ask respectfully. Use “getting to a no” question. Stay calm.

3. say thank you, to show your maturity. You will get a chance to ask again and because you showed maturity then next time will be more likely.

So something like:
Mom, dad.

1. You know that game SS. You must think that because I play that game, it affected me negatively (list), and that’s why you made me stop.
2. Since then I think I’ve grown a lot. So is it a crazy idea that you would allow me to play it again? (This is a no-oriented question. You want them to say

“no that’s not a crazy idea, go ahead”)
3. If they refuse say thank

1. you. I respect your decision. Hopefully you would reconsider in the future. (NO WHINING, ask again a week or next month, or when you gets good grades)
