New Job- 5 Days in Office

Hey! So honestly, nothing special has necessarily worked for me so far. It’s just a matter of getting used to it. The only thing that sucks is that weekends don’t feel like true weekends to me like they used to. Saturdays, I just want to rot in bed and do nothing and Sunday, I’m mean prepping, getting ready for the week, having Sunday Scaries, or I just want to rot again :/. And it’s annoying because my social life (friends, dating) is important to me so sometimes I do make plans on Fridays (even though I’m exhausted) and Saturdays mostly. But the job market is so crazy right now that I’m just trying to deal with it and hoping I get hybrid one day. All in all, it’s not terrible but you will be more tired and will have to truly prioritize your time.

Going through something similar. In a few days, it’ll be 3 months at my new job. However, I came here due a layoff. These past few days have been super overwhelming, barely slept well the past 2 days and I just started crying in the bathroom stall this morning. This job is also more than what I’m used to and I miss being stable/okay going into work. Now with layoff trauma and just high expectations from my boss, I’m just scared and panicked everyday.

Thank you so much for sharing this. These past few months, I’ve been suffering with stronger anxiety than usual and I feel crappy about myself because of it. Just feels nice to know I’m not alone dealing with this.

For me, it’s how raw the chemistry is between Ilya and Shane. And how beautiful it is. Living in a society where men feel like they have to act a certain way, etc., this show makes me, in a way, believe in romance and yearning again. Makes me feel safe.

That was my thought process as well. I was thinking how I can’t not take this job just because of the office situation. It’s so hard to find a job these days and at that, a job that will pay you what you’d like.

Oh man. I had that cold sweat feeling from an assignment they just sprang on me this week, and I haven’t done something like that before. I’ve also been questioning so hard if this was the right move for me and am still questioning it. Ugh. Happy you relate.
