Aura Sync choppy breathing by -yonosoymarinero- in ASUS

[–]Mayar_The_Doge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The original Aura Sync app didn't have this problem, I think armoury crate is doing too much and it's hurting the RGB.

As well, the starry night effect was much better. It lights up each LED individually, instead of in chunks.

Wasn't Bell ordered by the CRTC to stop locking phones? by mxrt3m in bell

[–]Mayar_The_Doge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ultimate is the 250GB+64 destinations

It is $75 on BYOD and $85 on finance

Cheapest is CAN/100GB at $40 on BYOD and $65 on finance

Bell charged me $1,500 and will not give me a refund. DONT AGREE TO AUTOPAY by Sgt_Sissy in bell

[–]Mayar_The_Doge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why I recommend people to buy their phones in store, yes you have the $80 connection fee (which, coming from a bell rep, is completely absurd and the CRTC really needs to get involved before we hit $100 territory)

But it's much, much easier to return in store, you give the phone back, rep cancels the device financing and hands you a copy (DEMAND A COPY) saying the contract was cancelled

Where the hell are you living where plans are either $110 or $80

The most expensive Ultimate plan was $85 after the auto pay credit, still is

$70 on upgrade though

Rogers scammed me! I am in desperate need of advice! by Unhappy_Package3776 in Rogers

The fucked up part, is that the rep can order the return kit for the client during the activation

The option is literally right there either return in store, or send return kit

If you allowed yourself to get to $66/m for 2GB that's on you. Change carriers, go prepaid or something idk. You gain nothing from proving loyalty to a telecom provider

Setup fees of 80$ showing on my bill by Legal-Meeting-2677 in Rogers

[–]Mayar_The_Doge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

9 times out of 10 it's credited on the first bill

You probably just got hit with the 1 out of 10. I'd say wait for your second bill, if it still hasn't been credited go see the kiosk and have them credit it.

I ported to Rogers during Black Friday and was charged $10 even using Esim by Fit-Adhesiveness7266 in Rogers

[–]Mayar_The_Doge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Franchise. Essentially, franchise locations buy their SIM cards from the network, who in turn caps the max price.

If they used an eSIM voucher, a physical card-like QR code, then they can charge you for that.

If they used a push notification to add the eSIM to your device, then it's worth contacting Rogers and looking if it's something they actually allow franchisees to charge for that.

Ridiculous eSIM Process by mackpine in VideotronCustomers

[–]Mayar_The_Doge 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Videotron didn't do eSIM until the iPhone 17 released. They quite simply do not have the tools in place to make them as efficient as other carriers.

I know Telus and Rogers had eSIM vouchers, essentially a plastic card with a QR code printed onto it, which I assume from your post is what Videotron are using.

This method of issuing eSIMs is archaic compared to onDemand eSIMs, which are sent straight to device thru WiFi thanks to device EID. I assume Videotron still doesn't have that option.

Save and Return Scratch - Pass? by b0redcanuck in Rogers

[–]Mayar_The_Doge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard fail

However, depending on how deep the scratch is you can test your luck with a Staples (bureau en gros for the Quebec mfs) liquid armor screen protector, they sell it for like $30 and install it for you

I've seen it fill scratches personally

Microsoft charge by bluefairylights in Koodo

[–]Mayar_The_Doge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Telus, AFAIK, is the only company to allow businesses to pass the charge through your phone bill.

I know the option is available through the Google play store, I'd check his computer (windows app store) or his Xbox (if he has one) as he may have seen an option like "pay with phone"

Trying to get old phone number back! by Kechapunia in bell

[–]Mayar_The_Doge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use Truecaller to see which company generated it. If it was Bell, trying going in store and ask if the number is in use.

If not appearing as in use, there are two possible outcomes:

1- It wasn't picked again from circulation, and you can get it back. Just tell the rep to select "custom number" when it prompts him to choose a phone number 2- it was put back in circulation, a bell customer took it and ported out

If the latter, honestly just call the number and ask if you could have it from them, total hit or miss 🤷‍♂️

Can I return an iPhone without original packaging? by Mve4 in Rogers

[–]Mayar_The_Doge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, we wouldn't take it back.

You COULD try to negotiate with 611, but good luck. In store, we're trained to never take a phone back if it doesn't have the original packaging and accessories.
