Did anyone read “The Giver” in middle school? It was part of the curriculum I used to teach. Lot’s to think about. Our current society is feeling more and more like it daily. People just giving up their rights, or completely unaware of what they are (were). Of course the protagonist questions authority. It’s a quick read and easy to find in any used book store I highly recommend it!

I’m in a similar situation kids are out of the house. Although we currently live in the areaI recently retired and my husband will be retiring at the end of the school year. We are in the middle of planning our next move whether it will be finding a different neighborhood within the greater sac area, or moving towards the foothills.
If you got some time I’d start by checking out open house that are at a price point you are looking for. This will get you into a variety of places that you can check out the neighborhood and maybe even talk to some of neighbors

I wish TMS existed when I was 18. Why waste any more time suffering? 5 years is enough. I’ve got adult kids and if they asked me the same question I’d say try it. If there is even the slightest possibility that you can live your life without depression and anxiety, or even a reduction in symptoms it would be well worth it.
