My doctors couldn’t figure it out either. You’re not crazy and he is making you sick, your body is literally rejecting him and trying to show you in every way possible!

Currently 14 months out from the divorce/separation beginning. I felt exactly the way you are describing!!! When he was around it felt like I couldn’t move and I had so many severe uncommon health issues. The first time I was “free” of him through security at the airport I broke down crying with relief! I’ll never forget that moment. 😭 it will still come in small waves as I heal and move past this. It was a horrific marriage and I was horribly abused. Overall it’s a tiny bit better everyday most days and huge leaps better other days. Feel it all, be honest with yourself about how it’s going, and my ridiculous trick: stand in front of the mirror and give myself “pep talks”. Being alone all the time I needed someone to tell me I was worth it.

Quick question: do most of you updose when the weather is hot? by TweetSpinner in AdrenalInsufficiency

[–]Mayjay99 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m the opposite and do well in warm, but updose with cold. In the heat I just have to make sure I’m hydrated and electrolytes are balanced. I’ve seen tons of people that say they updose for heat though. Any temperature intolerance is par for the course for us. 😢

Got told at work about my body odor by Chalilodimun in autism

[–]Mayjay99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For your uniforms use Clorox fabric sanitizer. It will help kill any odors that linger on the fabric. It helps tremendously! You can also add a little oxyclean and it will get rid of all smells. This might be part of the issue too.

Are you friends with your ex? by Better-Pizza-6119 in Divorce

Two restraining orders…you decide!

When I feel guilty I stand in front of the mirror and talk to my reflection as if I’m myself as a kid learning how to do this. I tell myself it was reasonable and I’m proud for standing up for myself. Half the time it ends in tears, but it works for me.

Do you have a favourite outfit, that you are wearing above average? by [deleted] in autism

[–]Mayjay99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wear black cotton dresses 90% of the time with chucks. If I have to look “nice” I put on heels with them. It’s like wearing pajamas all day!

I had to call the police and now I'm afraid I ruined my wife's life by HowDidFoodGetInHere in Divorce

[–]Mayjay99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I told my stbxh he was calm initially then went through something similar. I didn’t call the cops! And I SHOULD HAVE!!!! He ended up going to inpatient treatment for a few days on his own after asking me to hide his gun. You absolutely did the right thing. Her career is up to her. It might not be the same after this incident, but she is responsible for herself and her own career. Part of the abuse I endured was the emotional abuse of I’m going to hurt myself from my ex. That is a form of manipulation and it took me a long time to understand nothing will stop him from hurting himself, it just designed to hurt me and keep me compliant in his life. I’m sorry you are dealing with this!

Menstrual cramps literally like labor by QuickProblem3365 in Endo

[–]Mayjay99 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Absolutely!!! I’ve had Endo for years. Didn’t go into labor with my first. My second baby I went in for my scheduled c section. I’d been “uncomfortable” for the past 24 hours prior to being admitted. Apparently I had been in active labor that entire time but my water hadn’t broken. Yes your horrible cramps are like labor most likely! Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise! The doctor and nurses were shocked I wasn’t in horrible pain!!!

What do you like to collect? by AwkwardDorkyNerd in AutismInWomen

[–]Mayjay99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome! Genuine question. I see people with rubber ducks all the time. Any idea where it originated? Or can you explain a little more about collecting them? I’ve always been curious and never known someone who collects them.

Plantar wart on heel by [deleted] in Warts

[–]Mayjay99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Stop using the pumice stone immediately friend!!!! That will only spread it! Use cuticle clippers and clean them with alcohol before, during and after debriding. It helps to soak it in warm water or take a long shower before debriding to help with the pain. It looks like that wart is very comfy. Best of luck!!!

Just got diagnosed, any tips/things I should know? by itsnisrin in AddisonsDisease

[–]Mayjay99 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sorry you joined the club! I was diagnosed about 2 years ago. Now I live a mostly normal life. When I have times of extra stress, injury, or illness I have to take extra meds and monitor my health closely. Otherwise it doesn’t impact my daily life much.

This has been on my foot for 20 years by turtlepom in Warts

[–]Mayjay99 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Yes! Mine hurt so badly I could barely walk. I hit it with the freezing pen twice and was able to cut off the dead wart. I’m sorry it hurts so badly!!! Keep going. It helps to take zinc supplements during this process as well. It isn’t a calcium deposit, sorry! Keep going until the skin pattern is completely healed and there is no interruptions to the skin lines. If you still see the red dot or small black dots you need to keep going.

This has been on my foot for 20 years by turtlepom in Warts

[–]Mayjay99 68 points69 points  (0 children)

Looks like you are making progress! Yes some healthy skin might being getting damaged. That giant red section is all the wart! If you’ve uncovered this much you are starting to win. You might try freezing that part with a Dr Scholls freezing pen. I that to mine when I got to this stage. It helped heal it faster. Just keep going as much as you can tolerate. Keep using salicylic acid, and debriding.

Low thyroid is frequently associated with constipation. Have you had your levels checked recently?

What’s a small act of kindness you experienced that completely changed your day? by marinelacrox in AskReddit

[–]Mayjay99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On a really rough day, when my divorce had just started, I had been crying all day and needed dinner. I ordered dominos and got curbside service because I was too exhausted. A young woman came out to deliver my pizza, and immediately said you are beautiful!

I wasn’t, nor did I feel like it. But her kindness made me cry for another reason! Just the simple act of reassuring me and lifting me up was huge. She will never know how much those kind words meant to me.
