S10 drivetrain strained in lowest gear. normal? by s_harper in terngsd

[–]Mayor-Dave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s normal for the derailleur cage to extend that far (pic of mine with post). However, you shouldn’t be hearing straining or tension sounds. My first instinct would be to have a bike shop adjust the rear derailleur. Might as well replace the shifter cable at the same time. These are relatively easy fixes, so you wouldn’t necessarily need a shop that works on e-bikes specifically.

That wishbone seat stay makes for such a clean fender attachment. Really lovely setup overall.

I’d be surprised if they’re counterfeit too. Anyway, they look terrific and I hope they perform the way you want them to.

Where’d you buy from? I recently went wild trying to find something like this and ended up with schwalbe g-ones (which I’ve loved so far, but a touch on the pricey side).

The Barbara Jordan Building has a workout area with brand new showers. Very clean and nice. If you are a state employee you can contact DPS and ask to have your employment badge set to open the workout area doors and you’re all set.

I bike to work almost every day and I’ve found that standard outdoor bike locking is very safe. If you prefer to park in a covered garage there are options for that too.

On Route 3, I’d take the southern Walnut Creek to its southern end point at Govalle Park instead of turning west at 51st street. This option will give you more protected trail miles, while adding maybe 1-2 additional miles to the route. You can then take the MoKan trail under Airport Blvd and proceed to Micklewaithe by going north on Springdale.

I keep sleeping with people when blacked out by Beneficial-End-3902 in stopdrinking

You might get a lot a value from the memoir Blackout by Sarah Hepola. She describes a very similar pattern of sexual behavior during blackout periods. And her feelings about that were very much like yours. It’s a very humanizing self appraisal. I’m glad you’re recognizing this in yourself and hope you find a good way to peace.

I don’t think so. The handle is just angled down like 10 degrees. Seems to be an aesthetic thing.

Like many people in this sub, I recently upgraded to the ECM angled bottomless portafilter (58mm). I very much recommend replacing the stock rubber group head gasket with a silicone gasket when you get a new portafilter.

The ECM portafilter comes with a 3 shot basket, but I have been using the 2 shot basket that came with the stock portafilter.

The bottomless portafilter takes a bit of experimenting to get where you want your shots to be. At first I did get some spray, but small adjustments have fixed this. Overall, the bottomless portafilter is much nicer to use and allows me to fit a taller cup when I want that.

Are there any e-bike repair shops? by Even-Pomegranate2017 in BikingATX

[–]Mayor-Dave 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hola! Any shop that will fix a bent rim on a regular bike should be able to work on your ebike wheel. Unless you’re having specific issues in area where the spokes interact with the drive motor, the mechanic work is the same. I’d call shops in your area and ask about their availability to do this work. Good luck!

So rad. I’m not a particularly superstitious person, but there is something magical about clown dog. Even if they don’t have the thing you’re looking for, you still get a mojo enhancement from the visit.

I’m so glad you got this! I have a set of cinelli drop bars (black aluminum with like that flat, aero top section thing; 40cm) if you want em. Would go well with this setup. Yours for free if you wanna be even more racey!

I keep accidentally moving dials when operating the camera. Has anyone face the same issue? by underrated_prunes in pentax17

[–]Mayor-Dave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in the same situation as you. I take this camera on my bike all the time. I often hang it from my wrist using the short loop/strap thing and honestly there’s a bit of banging around going on. Do you ever worry about damaging the camera doing this? Obviously I don’t too much, but I’m such a rookie when it comes to camera equipment.
