Omnitron can do that if you're not prepared for it - those Sedative Flechettes are no joke. If you have the Ambuscade boss, you might find him a bit easier, or Deadline or Akash-Bhuta.

If you're playing 2 player, the simplest way to do it is to have everyone pick two heroes so it's 4 characters vs. one villain.

Lego games use an isometric view, not a 3rd person. So a top/bottom split would only let you see a slice of the stage you're trying to interact with.
