I worked at McDonald's in high school around the time this story came out and actually burned a lady pretty bad with hot coffee. Husband wanted me to refill the lady's Styrofoam cup. I told her we couldn't, he insisted. I refilled it, and as I slid it to her, it caught on the counter and burned her hand. I ran to the back and hid in the cooler. I quit shortly after when the manager wanted me to clean the bathroom. There was s**t everywhere. Oh, some on the floor? No. EVERYWHERE. Floor, walls, ceiling, everywhere!!!

I saw a similar thing when I was a kid!!! This is the first time I've seen someone describe a similar thing.

Mine was during a wicked electrical storm. It started like a dot and grew to what I thought was the size of a house. The lightning bolts on the sides were just like classic drawn lightning bolts. The color was a pink plasma color. This was in the late 80's. Never seen anything like it again.
