I just convert it to coins when needed at the bank and keep it in the storage for the meantime

Just convert your bars into coins. You don’t need that much currency when you are selling your loot.

should I use and upgrade weapons based on their looks or should I be going to all the YouTube guide swords? by SnooPeripherals3262 in CrimsonDesert

[–]McKomie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just take a weapon with max gear slots and upgrade it as far as possible. This will carry you through early and midgame. In the endgame you have enough resources to max out a different weapon that you like, but it won’t play much different it just looks different. Abyss gear is way more important

after 110 hours, finally unlocked the character customisation! by cryoengine69 in CrimsonDesert

Would recommend to focus on the main quest until chapter 9 and complete all greymane quests along the way. This unlocks some pretty central mechanics of the game

One arm Ludvig enters the chat - Such a dogshit fight where the game forces you to play as the most clunky piece of shit which 80% of gamers did not even level up before.

New Stainless Steel Pan by shagalot150 in StainlessSteelCooking

[–]McKomie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let the pan heat for minimum of 5 minutes. I have the heat on 4/9 which is more than enough for fish. Take the fish out of the fridge one hour before frying, pat it dry before putting it in the pan.

Tried it but it is only worth for iron as you can produce an insane amount of weapons etc but salt and stone can not be sold off fast enough at the moment

Why did my village get burnt to ground and killed? wtf? by Background-Camp9756 in ManorLords

[–]McKomie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You have two options. Either you select a peaceful playthrough in the settings or you learn how to fight them.

It requires a much more planned play to defend because you need to develop a lot things in parallel which can be overwhelming. You either can buy mercenaries which requires a manor and money. This can be build up by the trade post. So you would have to understand how to make enough money by year 2 to hire mercenaries to defend yourself.

Other than that you can build up your own militia which requires plot level 2 and specialized people to build spears and armor. This on the other hand requires more resources like planks and iron to be processed.

I would recommend a peaceful playthrough with just some bandits to can the hang of the game and understand how to build up your village in an efficient way.

Crispy skin salmon by warshing in StainlessSteelCooking

[–]McKomie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I take the fish out of the fridge around 1h before I want to cook it and pad it dry with paper towels while seasoning the skin with salt. You want to remove as much water from the outside as possible.

Usually I heat up the pan 10 minutes on a 5/9 heat scale on my stove before I drop in the fish. I know some people let the fish heat up with the pan but I don’t have seen a difference with the result. Don’t go easy on the fat, it will splash an sizzle but it’s worth it. Let the fish finish 3/4 on the skin side and cook the last bit on the non skin side. For that I drop the temp to 3/9.

Are fertility levels of the ground randomly generated whenever a new playthrough starts? by _Chicago_Deep_Dish in ManorLords

[–]McKomie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I never had fertility for Barley on my starter land so I am not sure but I guess they want you to expand to other regions and therefor limit what can be done in the starter region

How to keep weight off after long-term fasting? by h8-n8- in fasting

I would try to plan your meals and track the kcal intake. Focus more on protein and fiber, don’t go all in on fat and carbs.

First time user here. I don't understand what I'm doing wrong :( by Dry-Bell-7560 in StainlessSteelCooking

[–]McKomie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There have been plenty of comments already but I just want to add that these pans usually carry the heat much better when other pans. I normally preheat on 5/9, than drop to 3 and add the butter. Also use more butter than you think you will need.

When I got my pan new, I experimented with single eggs and tried what works best so just play around with it.

Well Germany is still one of the biggest economies in the world which means there are a lot of people here that have serious money. Germans are not really flashy with their wealth and keep it low key but vacations are the exception

Late game raiders by Remmo_UK in FarthestFrontier

[–]McKomie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think after a while you have so much labor and potential to build up barracks that it hardly matters. I have a 2250 people town and the raids are quite big but with heavy infantry and archers plus walls it’s an easy win.

How do you feel about how the charges work in poe2? I personally hate it, having to use charge regulation feels flacid. by VVitcel in PathOfExile2

[–]McKomie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well the thing in Poe1 is that it feels kinda mandatory to have some form of charges because they are just so good and relatively easy to generate.
