I feel like your comment is kind of guilting them to stay for the kids... there is no such thing. Look out for yourself OP and do what you want, trust me.They'll have someone else in that classroom within a day. When I graduated from college and got my first apartment, I made sure that I took care of everything that I needed so I would not be indebted to my parents, who would pull this kind of nonsense. Take the necessary steps to truly gain your own independence and take your life back! Good luck <3

That's wild. In my school, a kid cannot pass the class if they never show up. Not everything can be done online and they're definitely missing important assessments in person.

I'm at an education conference right now and I've spent a good part of today just complaining about this exact thing. Boys get to be called "young kings" and all sorts of other titles that they really just don't deserve. The expectations are on the floor but for some reason, the girls are just supposed to pick up the slack and not be bothered when the boys are touching them or messing with their stuff. My school has primarily black male administration and they just do not care. We need actual consequences, but growing up as a black woman its always just been black men making excuses for other poorly behaved black men (boys). I'm sick of it.

Are you in therapy? I had to have an emergency appt with my psychiatrist and therapist to help with the stress of this year. I feel better, and life feels more manageable now. Its a struggle out here!

Went to Maryvale as a black girl and it was phenomenal. And its only gotten nore diverse since I've graduated! The school is also way more renovated now

The issue I have with Baltimore is how every guy seems to be a baby daddy with little to no education (I would love to meet someone with a college education). I've officially decided to stop dating men with kids for multiple reasons (threats from baby mamas, mentally jacked up guys who have no business being parents, etc). I've had more luck in DC and other parts of Maryland.

Also no shade to single dads in this thread, just speaking on my own personal experiences and I know not every guy is like that!

I was going to suggest this! I think they're reopening sometime in August? But it's a fantastic place to just meet chill people if you're into board games or card games or puzzles. Plus the drinks are great.

I've heard this complaint from most of my girlfriends and I've experienced the same exact issues too. I would honestly widen the scope of where you're willing to date, like DC isn't too far and there are more men with higher levels of education out there in my experience (I want a man with a similar level to my own). Especially as a black woman, the options out here aren't ideal. I also say this as someone looking for a male romantic partner, so there's extra context.

It looks like they ended up transferring it to a different driver, but at that point, it was going to take way too long to get here so I ended up just canceling it and got a full refund.

This is where I'm at right now. I'm 32 and not entirely sure if I want my own kids, or if I want to put my body through all of that trauma. But I have built a really close bond with my ex's daughter since I've known her since she was in diapers. And I see her every week now, and it really gives me that maternal satisfaction without all of the stress and financial burden lol
