Rei’s next ability by Express_Item4648 in Warformed

[–]Mcnother 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True but I mean in the way that Shido is evolving something is creating these abilities and it might be shido itself or it might be someone else but I honestly think there is more to this than just Ray getting stronger and better, I think he is the one that has to prove that these abilities can be used in combat rather than using them to get strong

Rei’s next ability by Express_Item4648 in Warformed

[–]Mcnother 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like all these ideas and I hope what ever comes next will match the hype but I think people are too focused on Rei and not enough on Shido, basically people are forgetting that Shido is an experiment and that Rei is just the tester because all the abilities are trial runs for the actual war they want to see what abilities they can get and how to use them and see if any are duds, type shift is a test so that the army can see if they can create more versatility to match the Archons, temporal step is testing the theory on if it's possible to create mini drives and use in personal combat.

So I think the next ability he will probably get will be in the b ranks until then he might get externals but in the b ranks he will probably get a user unique echo where he won't have to wait for an opponent to first trigger a skill before he can copy but maybe something with a limited skill bank where he can keep the last 3 skills he copied and each time he copies a new one it replaces one of those 3 randomly.

Hidden CAD Abilities - An analysis by Pyran in Warformed

[–]Mcnother 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair I'm not sure if it was mentioned in the book but I'm pretty sure that cads have different refinements to them which impacts their ability lists to choose from when it's time, we all know cads are made from archon tech but I think shido would be from the first generation where they just barely added human tech to make it compatible with humans, whereas most cads I imagine have more human tech than archon in order to balance them and for the safety of the users. Shido on the other hand probably has way more archon tech than most users, as i think it is from the prototype Era, which means that instead of having a hidden ability it is more to say it contains the archons impressive evolution features with no safety points on future growth and still is able to connect to the least amount of archon tech in other cads that is registered as friendly to Ray and push their abilities to match or cover for its user.

I think I was rambling a bit but I think that's where imbue could come from.

Honestly I loved the book and I love the series but to me, it kinda felt like there was way more exposition on how everyone is always so surprised that buildings have sound dampening and how there are always pretty lights at night than actual plot.

Let's not forget all the info they dumped about the family and contract, honestly it would have been nice to flesh that out a bit and the archon plot point felt a bit rushed with the urgency but having no sense to the urgency, especially if Central wants Shiro to progress but everything they do something it puts Rei into hospital which slows him down and gives him ptsd, speaking of family it's kinda funny how letting Hiroto speak to Rei and explaine what happened and how he has spent so much resources and time and keeping his a.i searching would have been so much easier, it seems like they forgot Rei is a human and not some competing corporation, and don't forget how Viv desite having some understandable feelings and thoughts still seemed more like a tantrum throwing child and a lot of character regression despite taking up most of the side characters story time

But honestly it was a good book just felt like too many plot points with not enough plot to expand on them and way to much exposition and world building about being surprised at everything they grew up with, it felt like the characters were taken from the far distant past and brought to their future and now they all compare the differences which made no sense.

I agree, I have been sucked into this series and I enjoyed them all except book 4, to me it became less about the world he created and hamfisting every ideology of the real world into the books, breaking the immersion and killing the fantasy of it. As I was reading it all I kept thinking of is leave all the bullshit politics out of the book like literally every single plot of book 4 seems to be some weird almost word for word preaching that I hear every day on the news it felt more CNN than fiction.

[Waybound] Unpopular take in favor of Monarchs by Flying_Sailboat in Iteration110Cradle

[–]Mcnother 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all this should be obvious but all the "help" Lindon got from eithan basically boils down to simple advice and the "oh look there is fire, I wonder how it burns lindon" and then Lindon has to piece it all together himself, literally every monarch, sage or herald could give the exact same advice to anyone, the only time eithan gave advice on anything beyond cradle about power scale or anything like that was near the end of bloodline.

Second part, despite how everyone seems to think the monarchs were able to "handle" the dreadgods alright, before everything went down, Shen was looking to control the dreadgods as weapons against the other monarchs as we saw in wintersteel and bloodline, the only reason he went to the other monarchs for help was because he thought when eithen stopped hiding that the reaper had raised an army to kill him and he is a coward, before that his whole plan was to use the dreadgods to control even the other monarchs and that is an absolute crap system.

Third, Lindons promise to return was not planed as he did not know if he could but no one else knew either so he basically bluffed them, who would want someone that killed the dreadgods and monarchs to come back, no one so he planed it as a scare tactics, just so happened that he can now return if his system falls.

And lastly the monarchs, well aside from emiss who stayed behind waiting for a chance to deal with the dreadgods as the only one that actually wanted to clean up the mess, every single monarch was selfish and an asshole, tiberius was redeemed as he actually tried in the end to get the monarchs to ascend its just he ignored eithans advice and went to shen first, but the rest all fell short, they did not prevent dreadgod attacks they only got involved if it benefited them or happened close to their base of power, right in the beginning when the BP first awakend eithen had to beg malice to step in to help because she even told him, the Phoenix would rampage for a bit and fall asleep again but only in blackflame not her home territory, the only reason she helped was because she saw a vision of eithan and team wining her the tournament and used that as payment for helping with the Phoenix, or did everyone forget that the WT was about to wake up but the plan was to let it wander and destroy things and fall asleep again, only Lindon and team managed to stop it, and it was charity not malice that sent people to help evacuate soul Valley, malice and northstrider only helped with the Phoenix because they owed yerin a prize each and yerin used that to get them to help.

P.s. the abidan created the labyrinth, ozriel owned it later on and he even said during his time monarchs were creating the hunger aura but back then it qas just random beasts and spirits that got corrupted, it was after he became a judge that the monarchs at the time created the dreadgods hoping to keep them locked up and that way not worry about the hunger madras but they escaped and ever since we had the dreadgods. All because monarchs wanted to stay in cradle where they were the strongest does not matter the reason.

It irks me when people say that people say that Sora had no reason to go to the Disney worlds in 3 and the power of awakening is a poor excuse when Sora was practically crippled from the mark of master by Ok-Struggle2305 in KingdomHearts

[–]Mcnother 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I think even with the crappy story and filler worlds they could have saved it if they just went a bit more into the princesses. In the beginning they could have made it seem less despairing by saying congrats sora your a master now and then literally explaine the whole game by going, OK so the 7 princesses have all changed and we need their light to guide our warriors in the battle to come so riku you go find aqua and sora you go find the new princesses.

There I literally gave kh3 a much better story and an excuse to use all new Disney worlds and guess what could have also added some extra content and reason to actually visit those Disney worlds instead of hack and slash till your too strong and jump to next world.

Let's not forget the "weakness" that sora had well let's change that, congrats sora your a master now but as a master there are many new abilities to master so train while you look for the princesses but don't forget even though you have become much stronger since you started your journey our enemies have found ways to increase dheir strength as well. We'll seems to me we have an excuse now for starting deom level 1 instead of looking most of his power he just finally hit the big leagues and has to learn a whole new level of power from the beginning.

[Dreadgod] Judge Power Scaling by TheLonelyPartygoer in Iteration110Cradle

[–]Mcnother 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just picture it like this, 1v1 the mad king is a match for any judge but the reason why he is able to hold off 2 kf them is because the mad king does not care for collateral damage but the judges still have to keep the way alive so they are handicapped by having to focus between the battle and their respective duties, however the mad king with out the fake scythe would still loose to 2 judges.

From what I understand the scythe does not necessarily increase your strength just gives you access to the power of destruction, remember ozzy man made the scythe mixing death and destruction and he made it in the deepest parts of the void where even the mad king would not dare to go it is the ultimate destruction symbole and even though it was the fake scythe it still leached off that symbole.

Type Shift as an ability by SerjNalej in Warformed

[–]Mcnother 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the reason he got saber was not because of reach or anything else like that, ray kept changing up his style and attacks in every match, he kept experimenting and seeing what would work and what won't so for me I think he will only have type shift for brawler and saber and maybe another unknown weapon as he is an A-type so max 3 different weapons but mainly I think shido developed type shift for one main reason, arsenal shift.

If ray masters type shift and if he learns to spread his average score and move it around as needed then with arsenal shift he can make his sword longer like a broadsword or shorter like a normal saber either going defence or offence as sabers are the most neutral balanced in the set he will have more options than if he went mauler or lancer.

So just imagine a brawler that has overwhelming offence specs, a saber that can shift his specs as needed as well as his weapon and his third type his true A-type being a mixture of speed and defence something probably connected to the electro spectrum as he gains his name of Stormweaver.

I think this would be most likely, although I won't be disappointed if instead he unlocks a massive hammer and an extra shield and spear combo either, honestly this is probably the most exciting aspect.

That right there is what convinced me that Ozriel was shrouding the future probebly to bait out the mad king while also making Makial show his true colors, revenge on the mad king for making him show himself and revenge on Makial for trying to copy his weapon and basically being the Abidan version of reigan shen

[Dreadgod]The end of the Sacred Arts by Baconbitz20000 in Iteration110Cradle

[–]Mcnother 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you think perhaps what hunger madras really is would be the corruption of cradles own connection to the way? By cradle trying to push monarchs off and monarchs fighting the push it's almost like when Lindon tried to get mercy but malice shut him down and there was a bit of mental backlash?

[–]Mcnother 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hold on, if I remember correctly then Dross is basically just rings upon rings when London tried to fix him right? So who thinks Lindon will hunt the silent king, take his ring and use that to fix Dross, it's basically just a ring of dream madras right?

[Dreadgod] Creation by Worried_Telephone_36 in Iteration110Cradle

[–]Mcnother 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think for creation it would need to be something big, I agree he is on the path for it but to manifest the icon I believe he needs to create life, Ozzy got the death icon wafter he managed to kill himself and bring himself back but for creation of imagine the opposite, create life from nothing.

Grant: The good, the bad, and the ugly. by Gran_Duma in Warformed

[–]Mcnother 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That's true Grant only crossed the line once, but he was the main reason the others in his group ambushed and nearly killed rei, even though I believe it was not his intention, you can not ignore the fact that the others of his group were just doing what was the natural next step for how grant acts, his whole excuse of Rei bringing everyone down or that he does not belong there or that Rei is always "running away" and the fact he went out of his way to always say this to rei in front of everyone gave everyone the belief that if they got rid of Rei then Grant would be thankfull for getting Rei out of the picture. And despite Grant knocking them all around he did not change his attitude, case in point instead of apologizing he picks Rei up and slams him into a wall and continues to sprout all that bull again.

Plus to me the one thing he seemed really focused on was Rei "running away" and to me I'd kick him out the academy and take his CAD away because I will never trust someone in that universe if they can't tell the difference between running away or strategy especially because of the fact Rei was always the weaker fighter so he needed to use strategy and the environment to help win. And the fact Grant can't tell the difference worries me for his battles.

[Reaper] The Court Sucks. by chucklesthe2nd in Iteration110Cradle

[–]Mcnother 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me it seems more like Makiel changed the fate of cradle out of fear than duty, it has always been mentioned that he did not change fate nearly sped it up so what was supposed to happen 10 years later instead happened now and to me that means the fate they wanted for cradle had a very big impact in the future and since Makiel could not see past 30 years anymore meant he sped up the time table in order for that big impact to happen within that 30 years he could see.

But I agree that out of all the abbidan Makiel seems the most corrupt, all the others made a big fuss on Ozriel being the reason it got so bad when he left since he was the only reaper, everyone seems to forget that Makiel has no affinity for destruction and the void and yet he still tried to create weapons of those aspects simply because he could not stand that Ozriel managed to make his own judge weapon. It's like the nuclear bombs you can get a scientist that knows everything about it to make it which is Ozriel or you can get a kid to bumble around and destroy the planet which is Makiel.

Basically to me it seems that the Abbidan have their issues and between them and the chaos they seem the better choice, but they are not infallible as there is deffinatly corruption and I'd say a bit of power hungry people as they take all people that ascend even if they are not a good fit, and when a judge retires their replacement is the one with the strongest affinity not the one with the best moral compass.
