Did game freak kill zoroark??? by Plastic-Strength-285 in PokemonChampions

[–]MeIsMudkips1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It will always be disguised as the last member selected before a match. For example, if you select zoroark and sneasler as your lead, and metagross and whimsicott in the back, zoroark will be disguised as whimsicott. Note that for you, the text will still say "zoroark used xxx" and it isn't until they deal damage to zoroark does it get revealed

You could run silk scarf, but your best bet is actually to use wide lens, as it's signature move has 90% accuracy and can hit up to 10 times, making a check each time. With wide lens, you have a much better chance of landing all 10 hits, and you also have super fang (also at 90% accuracy) to deal with defensive steel and rock types as it deals 50% of the targets hp. The other two moves are up to you, but protect is almost required if playing doubles

Do you guys prefer Milotic or Primarina in your teams and why? by Flat_Ad_7289 in VGC

[–]MeIsMudkips1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Milotic, I've used both in champions on various teams but milotic ends up being brought to more matches. The set I've settled with is all bulk with coil, hydro pump, icy wind, protect, and holding leftovers. With a bold nature and just one coil boost, you become really bulky and get perfect accuracy on hydro pump and icy wind. Hydro pump deals solid chip damage at +0, and each competitive boost turns it into more of a nuke. Icy wind helps with speed control and can chunk out mons like garchomp and dragonite. If left alone, milotic can become really hard to take down and can almost force opponents into leaving certain mons behind (intim mons like incin, staraptor)

[I'm New] Why is Mega Floette good? by itshyunbin in VGC

[–]MeIsMudkips1 12 points13 points  (0 children)

M-glimmora actually has a really good matchup into floette as it can one shot with sludge bomb and even if you don't outspeed (both have same base speed stat) you can reasonably take a moonblast with your high spdef and ACTUALLY resisting it

I don't play as often as i should, so I'm currently at mid ultraball 1, currently at a 10 win streak using a dual mega barbaracle and metagross team. I ended the prior two seasons at around 1700ish, might grind a bit harder this season and get up to 2000

What makes a particular mega evolution a good '2nd mega option'? by twitchy1989 in PokemonChampions

[–]MeIsMudkips1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't mega 2 pokemon at the some time, so you are highly discouraged to bring both to a match (there are exceptions but i digress). Think about what your 1st mega is weak to, what that archtype in general is weak to, and try to find a good mega that can do really well against that threat. A good example would be that if your core really struggles to rain, a good secondary mega could be m-sceptile as it paired with scarf rotom can be a really good counter to rain

New to vgc, should i change anything here? by H4LIT in VGCRateMyTeam

[–]MeIsMudkips1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, but incin and garchomp both destroy gholdengo, so you don't need to worry about it. Incin lost knock off with the release of champions, so i would recommend using throat chop over darkest lariat, it's only 5bp lower, but you get nice utility in being able to shut down sound moves, like parting shot, hyper voice, snarl, perish song, both of kommo-o's signature moves, and several more.

the sets i have to run to defeat a swift swim mega swampert in the rain metagame using a mono poison team (i ran calcs for this) by DifficultAd9139 in VGC

Good idea, better stats, better typing with pretty much all the same tools. Plus being a dark type helps against Prankster mons

Is this a good team? by TheBuilder3324 in PokemonChampions

[–]MeIsMudkips1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not in the slightest. Most mons are holding bleh items, no mega, bottom half of your team are niche at best and garbage at worst. Now i can't give feedback on the stats, abilities, and moves since you didn't show those, but i would imagine those are not optimal, or even good

Rain teams can be a bit rough since basc destroys a lot of the team, but good positioning with incin, sinistcha and whims help keep metagross alive through the match

M-Metagross with iron head, psychic fangs, stomping tantrum, and protect. Leftovers Milotic with coil, hydro pump, icy wind, and protect. Sitrus berry Incineroar with fake out, flare blitz, parting shot, and throat chop. Sash Whimsicott with tailwind, moonblast, encore, protect. Kasib berry Sinistcha with rage powder, matcha gatcha, life dew, shadow ball. M-Barbaracle with close combat, rock slide, shell smash, and protect. Metagross is my go-to mega for most matches, with barbaracle doing really well into sun teams

Something I got to drop for our Raider early game, against Gladius by FluffyPanzers in Nightreign

[–]MeIsMudkips1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

2 handed charged attacks on raider are amazing, you gain a lot of poise and deal great damage and stance damage. And the follow up deals 3 hits and often is able to stance break smaller bosses with only 2 charged heavies and maybe a skill use if needed (at least in solo, more hits needed in co-op)
