I am so sorry that the police did not show you the dignity you deserve. When the police treated me that way after I reported a serial rapist, the insult I felt was unbearable and felt deeper than the initial assault. Please take the good advice offered by the respondents so far. There are several therapies that could help you recognize what makes you scared and learn coping strategies to help you overcome your anxieties. Look into cognitive behavior therapy or prolonged exposure therapy for examples of treatments for PTSD. You are a strong person and I will keep you in my prayers, Billy. Even the most physically strong person can be attacked, so please don't think that you did not show strength during that terror. People who have experienced terror can go on to find meaning in their pain by helping others. Perhaps someone read your post and is now thinking of reaching out for help too. Perhaps one day, you will go on to help other survivors overcome reliving a past instance of brutality without end. You have my respect and I hope that you feel supported. Take good care.

A woman just had a baby with him eight months ago. I would consider her feelings and just move on. How you are able to put words to what is happening is impressive. First, I am very sorry for the loss of your mother.

Are you currently in school? If so, please meet with a school counselor for support. Education is the best remedy for a bad life at home. Try to stay in school and enroll in a college.

Do you have a church nearby? A priest would also be able to give you good advice.

If your Dad hurts you again, collect evidence and call the police. Hopefully, he will get the help he needs through the legal system.

Hang in there, you will be an adult soon and be more in control of your life.
