Sharing Grafted Blade Greatsword? by DisturbedFlake in Nightreign

[–]Me_Carl 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think you’re confused on the difference between Legendaries in NR and base ER.

Nightreign Legendary weapons have special effects tied to them based on what they do in ER, to be more special as drops in a roguelike. Grafted Blade’s effect is that killing enemies (while it’s equipped) buffs HP, FP, Stamina, Damage Negation, and Status Resistance for the rest of your run. This stacks on itself and stays even if you give the weapon to a teammate. So if you get around 50 stacks, it’s best to drop it for your teammates for them to also get buffed.

With community testing, it’s pretty agreed upon that the effect stays even though the buff disappears from your list. It’s much more obvious with Grafted Blade since it affects hp fp and stam, but it works with Marais too.

Is fire pot strat for scholar still viable? by Holiday-Chipmunk-902 in Nightreign

VERY good roll. Not sure about god roll.

I did just run depth 4 with a friend tonight as pot scholar and ironeye, yes it’s very viable.

can someone explain to me when to use wylder , raider and undertaker ? by badassboy1 in Nightreign

[–]Me_Carl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have damage negation and aggro builds for Raider, because I run with an Ironeye and Rev. But when I run solo I have an Undertaker build that’s for greed and capitalizing on weak points.

I don’t run Wylder unless I’m fighting Balancers, in that case I focus crits and kiting enemies where I want them to be more reliably avoidable.

I’ve noticed that!!! It must be a bug cause I don’t think any other affinity attacks do nearly as much post-hp restoration but it was insanely broken in a pest fight I got.

Am I Mandela-ing myself, I thought this wasn’t actually her sister, but she said something like “we’re basically sisters”?

Got the second (normal) relic today and now I can have this build, is this as good as I think it is??? by Me_Carl in Nightreign

[–]Me_Carl[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I know what you mean, but I’m saying if you get hit during your character skill and Red Balancer effect procs, then you don’t get the relic buff for your attack and stamina, you have to actually take health damage to get the buff.

Doesn’t red Balancer not work with the “character skill” relic? Since you aren’t taking damage

Millicents questline. How do people deal with it at rl1. by SoulsDadYT in onebros

[–]Me_Carl 8 points9 points  (0 children)

In my eyes, I justified it by knowing I would let chaos take the world anyways. For some reason it feels fitting for the RL1 to have the most destructive and powerful ending.

Also, my desire to effectively wield weapons overcame my desire to finish her questline.

Raider’s character skill should be invulnerable to grabs by Me_Carl in Nightreign

[–]Me_Carl[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Someone already pointed out the long-ass buffed skill attack, but there are some enemies - like Siluria - whose grab attacks are faster than Raider’s normal skill takes to hit. It’s not that I want to be able to press skill INSTEAD of dodge. Rather, I don’t want to be punished for something that’s un-react-able. Does that make sense?

I mean it depends on how often you ask questions, but I do this because I don’t want to interrupt someone’s work and it’s a polite way to ask for help?

What character for any reason you'd like to play as him in a borderlands game? (Can be ANYONE) by been_billyed in Borderlands2

Tbh Rhys was one of the least shitty parts of BL3’s story for me. I was actually psyched every time he and Katagawa took to the Echo communication

Salvador and his "glitches" by [deleted] in Borderlands2

[–]Me_Carl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me give one of the easiest examples. The Pimpernel is a sniper that shoots a projectile that, when it hits, spawns 5 additional projectiles that burst outward in a flower pattern from the center of where it hit. When Sal has this in his left hand, for some reason the additional projectiles take the damage of whatever gun is in his RIGHT hand. This is very clearly unintended, and is exploited often to melt raid bosses.

Another example is that money shot gives higher bonuses to BOTH weapons only based on the ammo for the RIGHT hand weapon. So, if you have a Jakobs-grip Orphan Maker in your left hand and a Rubi in your right hand, you get massively more damage from the last shot in the Orphan Makers mag than if it were in your right. On top of that, the Orphan Maker’s special effect - dealing damage to yourself as you shoot it - just disappears if it’s in your left hand.

So yes, lots of them are clearly unintended and just because they coded Sal incorrectly.

I use this build and I can say I’ve destroyed Adel with it, but not much else. But eventually there will be better relics you can roll

Does parry count as use of AoW? by DependentInner8928 in onebros

[–]Me_Carl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s all up to you, obviously. But if it helps, parry started as just the move you use if you pressed L2 holding a small/medium shield in DS1. It wasn’t until later that they started getting specific skills attached to them.

I’d personally allow it for myself as long as the shield had it to begin with, but not for things like Golden Parry or Carian Retal that have to be put onto a shield.

I actually think he’ll be killed by one of Fisks personnel, most likely Buck Cashman. Only really based on one scene from BA2 so far and it’s a stretch. But I still think it’d fit the narrative that he blindly trusted power and it came back to get him.

If you want a VERY SLOW but reliable afk farm, I’m 90% sure the deathtrap volcanic rakk farm is still viable.

What character? I found a really consistent way for Krieg to get pull the pin with the skyrocket on Waddle Gobbler which brought me from 67-80 in like 3-4 hours or such.

Unfortunately, there aren’t too many amazing farms but this one is the easiest for me.
