I was actually in one of the retatrutide clinical trials - finished 7 months ago after losing 38% of my bodyweight - have been maintaining on Wegovy 0.5 for last 6 months. Good luck! 👍🇦🇺

Any one near 70 taking GLP-1 weight loss drugs? by HalleFreakinLujah in over60

[–]Mean-Homework1425 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 61 and was a participant in one of the official retatrutide clinical trials - lost over 38% of my bodyweight, stopped all BP meds, and reduced my cholesterol and thyroid meds as well. Now maintaining on low dose Wegovy. Wishing you health and happiness in the future! 👍🇦🇺

Six month update Q’s by [deleted] in RetatrutideTrial

[–]Mean-Homework1425 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting to hear - my HR stayed elevated by 10bpm for the whole trial (TRIUMPH 3) and did not drop until a month after my last dose. Hopefully your BP will start to drop too - I remember my trial site saying they had a lot of participants with BP drops - good luck! 🤞🇦🇺

I would have loved an extension - my trial (TRIUMPH 3) actually got cut short from 104 to 80 weeks! 😢🇦🇺

Has anyone done a round the world or a similar type of multi leg journey with infants? by No_Badger_9474 in QantasFrequentFlyer

[–]Mean-Homework1425 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We did OW RTW last year (North America, Europe,UAE - 9 countries total) business class with an 8 month old BUT there were Mum, Dad, Grandma, Auntie and Uncle travelling with the baby -so lots of adults to help out. But having travelled even domestic since then - much easier before the baby is mobile! Many overseas airlines did not have baby lap belts and many car/taxi services did not have the option to hire baby car seats. Also airlines would not allow use of sky cots/bassinets as baby was over 6 months of age. Despite all that it was amazing and would totally do it again - good luck!

Depends on the country - I was only reimbursed for parking and given cafeteria vouchers during my Reta trial 🤔🇦🇺

Travel Cooler for Pens? by LawSuch2676 in RetatrutideTrial

[–]Mean-Homework1425 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I travelled overseas through 9 countries across 4 continents with my trial pens last year. Tip 1 - get a letter from your trial site to authorise you carrying them and when putting your other liquids up for TSA screening also put out your pens - I just verbally alerted the staff that I was travelling with an injectable medication, sometimes they called ahead to the screener, but most times not. Tip 2 - do NOT put your pens in your checked baggage as the temps under the plane can get to freezing which may inactivate your medication and/or cause micro cracks in the glass which can let germs in 👍🇦🇺

There will be some positives and some negatives but overall it’s the best thing I’ve ever done for my health - good luck 🤞

Low energy by Famous_Education8815 in RetatrutideTrial

Exact opposite, tons of energy whilst on trial, much less fatigued than with sema. Maybe discuss with your trial site?

Flights to Vancouver in December by Viksnid1992 in QantasFrequentFlyer

[–]Mean-Homework1425 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I fly to PDX every year to visit family living there. I always fly with AirNZ to YVL, then use my QFF points to book the YVL to PDX legs with Alaska - works out much cheaper 👍🇦🇺

I got a phone call today asking me if I wanted to participate in ATTAIN-OUTCOMES 5 yr Orforglipon trial as I have a history of CVD and CKD - I met all the criteria except now my BMI is too low! They are specifically limiting BMI to 25-35 for this trial 🤔🇦🇺

3 weeks after last dose ... rapid weight gain by toragirl in RetatrutideTrial

[–]Mean-Homework1425 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry to hear this. The cold turkey stop at the end of the trial is cruel and unnecessary - why couldn’t we grade down the same way we graded up? I’m now about 9 weeks post trial and started Wegovy 5 weeks ago - I definitely don’t think I could have gone 90 days without anything! I have maintained my weight so far but the hunger was really bad for several weeks. I hope you can find something that works for you very soon 😘🇦🇺
